Kevin Durant Hits Kevin Garnett With Nasty Crossover (VIDEO)

KD’s handles are insane.

In the second quarter of Sunday’s easy 91-79 win for the OKC Thunder over the Boston Celtics, Kevin Durant completely turned around Kevin Garnett with a crossover move, and then hit a silky jumper.

my god! Durant is tall as Garnett, but KG is 5 years too old to guard KD. He and LBJ are way better than all the rest.

There was a time when no one in their right mind would clear out a side against KG and wave off a pick. Father Time catches us all.

No big deal, KD is crossin up his old uncle

I was thinking the same thing. KG in his prime would have got low, slapped the hardwood and got in KD. Old KG was wondering where the help was. Lol

It’s funny, as a KG fan, I remember when KG used to do the same thing to Malone, Admiral, Hakeem, Ewing, etc. …..TIME!!!

  • Max

KG knew it was over when he called for an iso.

How many ball handlers in the league are better than Kevin Durant??? I’d say maybe 5 at very most and they are all under 6’3″…..the guy has a wingspan of the 7 footer!!! this boggles my mind

    father time is so undefeated.

he has sick handles for a big, but no way is he in the top 5 for handles. (if that is what u meant) kyrie, CP,curry, crawford, iso joe, d will, nash, tyreke….it’s a long list.

Are KD’s handles>Melo’s handles? I think so….Melo’s still got that post up game though…

  • LakeShow

By quite a margin. KD has one of the better handles in the League for a player over 6’6″.
Supposedly Durant’s post game is as good or better than Melo’s statistically, but yes Melo is much better than Durant in the post right now.

Yeah, that was just hyperbole. But, if you’re talking small forwards, he’s top three.

    Kevin on Kevin Violence

  • Lloyd

Was just thinking the same thing. Made me kinda sad. It’s like realizing your pops is getting older when he can’t do the same things he used to.

  • Lloyd

KD can’t body people like Melo can though. Melo’s a beast around the rim.

  • bill

    …is behind both.

  • LakeShow

Agreed which is why I know Melo is better. When sh*t get’s real, i’ll take Melo down low.

I don’t think KD is a very good ball handler. I mean, he really has a nice crossover, one of the best for the taller guys. But he can’t consistently bring the ball up the court. Thats one problem that some guys think he has in crunch time: he can’t carry the ball all the way, and not always he is able to free himself to receive the rock. But, obviously, he has Westbrook, so its like pick your poison.

  • JL

I wouldn’t say he’s not a very good ball handler. He’s definitely not in the conversation for the best ball handlers in the NBA (some of those guys are straight amazing and could probably dribble in their sleep), but I think he fits in the “very good” level (below great and elite), which is awesome for someone his size. But yes his dribbling highlights are usually crossovers. Not much of the other fancy moves you see from other players. He is far below Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford (who have different styles).

  • Drig

I was thinking of the exact same thing. KG in his prime was a beast on D…….It kinda makes me sad.

melo can take care of the ball… but its far from ‘handles’
