Monta Ellis Explodes for 25 Fourth Quarter Points vs Orlando Magic (VIDEO)
The Bucks guard caught fire.
The Milwaukee Bucks staged a late rally to take down the visiting Orlando Magic, thanks in large part to Monta Ellis (who finished with 39 points, 25 of which came in the final stanza). Per the Journal Sentinel: “Monta Ellis scored 25 points in the fourth quarter and 19 in the final 6 minutes 32 seconds, lifting the Bucks to a comeback 115-109 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Ellis drilled 5 three-pointers as part of a 30-12 run to finish the game, allowing the Bucks to snap a three-game losing streak. Milwaukee scored 45 points in the fourth quarter, one shy of the top total scored by an NBA team this season (Portland and the Los Angeles Clippers each had 46 in a quarter). The Bucks guard hit consecutive three-pointers to start the comeback after Milwaukee trailed, 97-85. And it was his three from the top of the arc with 13 seconds left that gave the Bucks a 113-109 lead and brought thunderous cheers from the crowd of 15,591. ‘It don’t play out the way we always picture it,’ Ellis said. ‘Tonight we just played extra, extra hard down the stretch to get a win.’”
