Kobe Bryant Gets a Triple Double in Win vs Dallas Mavericks (VIDEO)

The Mamba keeps on killin’ it.

With the Lakers desperately needing a win, on a historic night in Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant delivered a masterful performance—23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in a 101-81 victory against the visiting Dallas Mavericks. Phil Jackson was in the building, and certainly appreciated what he saw. Per the Zen Master’s Twitter: “Kobe almost pitched a perfect game tonite…I know you did it for us, Mamba-Shaq and Lakers Nation-just spectacular.”

Kobe will have number 8 and 24 retired as a Laker jersey number. The NBA has never seen a career like his. After 17 years in the NBA, he still is top 5 NBA player in NBA. He will continue to play at this level for another 3 years in my opinion. Kobe gets a statue, with 8 on front and 24 on back and LA stands still for HIM. BOOK IT!!!

To me, games like this will always be more impressive than games like Melo’s 50 points with 2 assists and 2 rebounds. When Kobe wants to be an all-around facilitator, few players do it better. Hopefully he realizes that the Lakers play better when he passes (nearly) as much as he shoots!

2 dunks, a couple ridiculous dimes and a silky skyhook? Perfect game is right Phil.

  • Max

    That’d actually be dope.

He could’ve had 20+ assists if the other Lakers could shoot.

It certainly was a masterful performance esp. when you realize he played 47 minutes AGAIN and his team had a bad shooting night.

He did it for Phil. Awesome. Almost brings a tear to the eye.

    That’s because he’s Kobe Motherf*in Bryant.

Shout out to the guy behind the Lakers bench in the Nick Van Exel jersey.

I am about to go to the store and play the lottery if the great Allen Powell II agree with me. WOW, first time ever, right.

Nope. I agreed with you on Nash too for the most part. And some other stuff. It’s the Kobe and LeBron stuff where we part ways. I also don’t know about Kobe playing this way for the next three years since the HGH testing is coming soon.

Man, I’m gonna miss Kobe when he retires.
