Serge Ibaka Misses Point-Blank Game-Tying Layup (VIDEO)

Gotta finish that.

The Houston Rockets escaped with a 105-103 Game 4 victory, avoiding elimination after Serge Ibaka missed a bunny at the buzzer. The OKC Thunder big man then collapsed to the floor in disbelief.

looks like he short armed it

  • Max

    How did he miss that?!?
Turrible possesion, KD wanted to go for the game.

  • LLC#12

at 45 seconds, Chandler Parsons must have taken some tips from LeBron on how to avoid fist bumps..cold. Feel bad for Ibaka, sometimes the easiest shots are the hardest (in terms of, its easy to lose concentration/chalk it up as 2 points in your head)

Pressure will do that to you.

  • bike

In the Congo, they would call that ‘Foutre en l’air’.

  • LP

Scott Brooks draws up some shtty plays and he is using Durant all wrong these past 2 games….This isn’t summer league at the Rucker, get creative Mr. Brooks….him bringing the ball up court at point forward is not the recipe..

    WIND!!!

  • Mike Mihalow

lol, that sh*t was hilarious! Ibaka looked like one of those dudes being pushed back by a scamming preacher, but nobody caught him!

  • RayJr

The game shouldn’t have ended like this. If Brooks wants Durant to take the last shot, how do they not send someone to screen his man or have KD come off the ball while running off of screens? Make it easier for the guy. You don’t ever see Parker or Ginobli going one on one at the end of close games. They run through screens to get open for a decent shot.

  • Blarmac

To be fair, I guarantee you KD said put the ball in my hands in the huddle.

at :45 Parsons totally snubs some guy’s fist bump attempt

Good D by Parsons. Great game overall for him. Why is he even this good? I remember him being pretty mediocre in college.

James Harden is horrible on defense. Good Lord, if you watch him on that possession it is scary bad.

  • LP

Not talking just this last play….throughout the past 2 games

  • LP

He didn’t wanna leave an open 3,he thought about it but made the right choice.. They’re up 2…but he is horrible on d

  • Roger Rogers

I blame Jackson as much for not passing the ball back to KD and trying to do something with the ball at the last second. Youre good kid but not THAT good.

  • http://twitter.com/apowellAdvocate Allen Powell II

Nah, he didn’t stay attached to his man, AND he didn’t help on the drive. He didn’t accomplish a single good defensive goal on that possession, watch again. He’s ball watching, first of all. He sinks off his man to appear to help on the drive, but doesn’t actually help. And he lost sight of his man so that when it was time to get back to him, he didn’t know where he was. Finally, he didn’t try to box Ibaka out on the rebound! Watch it again. It’s his job to crash down and get into Ibaka’s legs there.
Hell, even before that, when Jackson drives towards what appears to be a clear lane, he doesn’t cut off the obvious passing lane to Ibaka. It’s just bad defensive awareness and effort. Watching his body language you wouldn’t even know it was the end of a must win game.

been a huge problem all year. He has basically been a more efficient, less offensively versatile version of Kobe this season.

  • EJ

How is Harden more efficient than Kobe? He shot 43.8% from the field.

  • playa

Yeah, except play offs when his great efficiency is umm little less impressive i think. Besides i dont like players who are so dependent on shooting 10+ free throws a game to score any significant number of points..Kobe’s fg 46,3 , Harden’s 43,8 – Kobe = cancerous chucker , Harden= mr. efficient.Lord give me patience,

  • playa

He is because he flops his way to over 10 free throws a game, but the fact is that kobe used to average those ft numbers shooting 45-47 % fg and NO ONE in history of the world never call him efficient ever.”The times they are a changin’”(bob dylan’s voice)

  • spit hot fiyah

drawing up plays might be an overstatement

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

True Shooting percentage of .600% to .570% – more efficient.

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

i know it’s tough to figure out, but more efficient and efficient in general are two different things. you can still be more efficient than Kobe, without being an extremely efficient player. Although, with how much Harden gets to the line, he does factor as an efficient player.

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

    Lord give you a dictionary.
    .
“more efficient” – if you miss 10 shots in a row, and i only miss 9, i am more efficient.
    .
    be smarter.

  • davidR

seriously, he seems lost out there. game tying / winning possession in an elimination game too

  • http://twitter.com/_DFrance DFrance

What about the mid air body bump Asik put on Jackson? Thats not a play the refs should have swallowed their whistle on.

  • Caboose

NO BECAUSE SHOOTING FREE THROWS IS INEFFICIENT! IT’S NOT THE MAN’S WAY TO PLAY AND I DON’T LIKE IT

  • Caboose

Damn Cisco played some good D there.

  • playa

You miss 100% of shots you didnt attempt they say. Be a little less of dick, for once nbk, for once.

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

Don’t put words in a persons mouth if you don’t like a dick in yours.

  • RV^

He fist bumped the guy next to him, you just can’t see him.

  • LP @ThisisEther

He did look bad, I won’t even argue this…

  • playa

I didn’t ,but from your post it looks like you’re expert in those type of “things” dude, well whatever works for you i guess…

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

    “Kobe’s fg 46,3 , Harden’s 43,8 – Kobe = cancerous chucker , Harden= mr. efficient.Lord give me patience”

    .
you did. and i’m an expert in putting my dick in people’s mouth? there is an expertise in that?

  • Bitchmade_Nbk

    U need to get laid

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

Sorry what was that?, my daughter was blocking the screen

  • Matt

Do you not understand how good a free throw is for an offense? Everytime Harden goes to the line, he has an 85+% of getting 2 points. Compare that to even his very good 56% at the basket (a high % for how many shots he takes there). And it’s not as if Harden doesn’t generate free throws consistently. He shoots at least 4 a game.

  • Matt

Harden is nothing like Kobe. That’s like saying Monta Ellis has been a smaller, quicker Kobe this season. (Not a very good comparative statement to yours but you get the point I’m sure).

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

From a production stand point it’s pretty much even. So the comparison is fine…I did say basically

  • Jaha.

Wrong…he went straight up, Jackson initiated the contact. Good no call.

  • underdog

Man, I love Fisher’s reaction. That’s a vet right there. And to Serge… Dude, you’ve to finish your breakfast.

  • http://twitter.com/_DFrance DFrance

His arms were straight up, but he jumped into Jackson. He did not jumped to the side into Jackson, not straight up in the air. It’s a foul.
