Manu Ginobili Hits Game-Winner vs Warriors in Game 1 (VIDEO)

Manu, FTW.

With time running out in double-overtime, the Golden State Warriors momentarily forgot about Manu Ginobili. Whoops! Per the Express-News: “The Warriors botched their defense, according to head coach Mark Jackson. ‘It was a miscommunication,’ he said. ‘They were supposed to switch it. The screen wasn’t set, and two guys went with (Tony Parker) and Manu slipped out of it. A breakdown defensively and they got a wide-open look out of it.’ [...] Instead of sticking with Boris Diaw or switching on to Ginobili, Harrison Barnes instead followed Tony Parker, who was already covered by Jarrett Jack, all the way out to 35 feet. That gave Kawhi Leonard the easy option to find Ginobili, who took advantage despite a respectable close-out from Kent Bazemore. ‘I don’t know,’ Jack said of the play. ‘I was guarding my guy.’”

it was clearly jack fault….kent did a good job closing out a open layup for tony parker which was a guarantee score but couldn’t guard manu at the same time which lead to a open three….jack was guarding air as you can see if u pause at 0:04 which was bad of him

    AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like Kenny Smith said, the Warriors were switching on pick and rolls. However, Diaw slipped to the post and did not screen, Jack still switched, Barnes stayed on his man, Bazemore had to rotate to Diaw so he wouldn’t have an easy layup and thats how Ginobli gets wide open. Brilliant inbounds play.

The game tying 3 and Manu being wide open here were both Jacks fault. He clearly doesn’t understand the switch all screens concept.

Jack’s fault or not, Manu still had to make the shot!

He shouldn’t have tho. His man didn’t set a screen which is why Barnes was able to stay with Parker. Jack should have just stayed with Diaw.
