SLAMonline caught up with Nets assistant coach Popeye Jones after Brooklyn’s Game 6 win on Thursday night in Chicago. The coach spoke about about his son Seth, who’s projected to go first in the 2013 NHL Draft. “Colorado just got the first pick in the draft lottery,” Jones said. “It’d be a dream come true for his family and also for him to go back to where he started playing hockey.”
On the Nets’ season-defining Game 7 in Brooklyn, Jones said: “This is basically our first Playoff series as a team. But we’re happy to give Brooklyn a Game 7 our first year there.”
