Steph Curry Hits a Wild Running Three vs Spurs (VIDEO)

He put a homing device in the ball.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was kept in relative check by the Spurs’ defense in Game 2 (22 points on just 7/20 shooting from the field), but Curry still managed to hit the craziest shot of the night.

Kinda reminds me of the game-winner Kobe hit against the Heat a couple of years ago. Off the same one leg, same place on the court, defender on him… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgBVr-CByaE

    insane….Nash-like

  • Drig

I’m starting to wonder whether Curry has Kobe’s shot jacking tendencies or whether Warriors have too many rustic or broken plays for Mark Jackson to be considered a good offensive coach……

  • spit hot fiyah

the only player i have seen launch a shot like that in the flow of the game (not a desperation shot) and make it look routine is juan carlos navarro

  • bill

    Ask the Nuggets and Spurs.

2 mvps…..Dont try to water these down, I hate when guys do this…

  • Max

That’s right, I tought I knew this move from somewhere.

  • Max

Curry shoots these kind of shots at quite a high percentage.
When he’s feeling it, everything is going down.

  • Max

2 time MVP aint mean a thang!

  • Max

Only Kobe’s was more luck than anything.

  • LLC#12

Luck? What are you, crazy? Kobe GOAT Bryant makes his own luck, that was a routine shot for him!!……………………..Yeah, that shot going in must have surprised himself, BIG fluke. Stephs shot looked pretty routine by comparison, a la La Bomba.

  • Max

    Lol.
    Yeah indeed.

  • Gaurav Pokharel

Kobe even admitted it was a fluke.

  • Mackenzie

Curry jacks shots because he’s the best shooter in the NBA; you’d have to be mentally challenged to not give him the opportunity to shoot the ball.

  • Drig

Thank you very much. I might be the only guy who’s shaking his head at this because it’s the FIRST quarter and there was quite a lot of time left to get a better look.

I want him to get open looks.

i guess… in that system were it made jeremy lin into a megastar.

if you dig it. roll with it.

personally, i believe that MVP should be asterisk

Jeremy Lin would not have done that with that team for 2 straight years.
Forgot how Good Nash also was without Mike?
Don’t forget Steve is also one of the best shooters ever.

to be frank, ive jus never really been a big Nash fan

Every look he gets is considered open. Have you seen this guy shoot?

  • Drig

I’ve seen this guy shoot. Honestly, I wouldn’t have a problem with this if it were at the end of the shot clock or after he’s got his shot going.

I simply don’t think it’s smart to encourage him to take such kind of shots vs Spurs throughout the series unless he’s already hot.

  • Drig

True. However, my gripe with this is :
1A. That was awesome as a fan.
    1B. It’s Q1.
    2. He wasn’t hot.
    3. There’s 14 seconds left on the shot clock.
    4. He shot over two guys.
    4. Encouraging him to shoot like this might cost GS a game or two. vs the Spurs, it’s not a good idea IMO.

  • Max

Or more of a Kobe fan? :)

  • Max

    2. If he makes his first shot, he feels like he’s hot.
    3. He made it.
    4. He made it.
    4. It’s the only shot like this he took.

hes cool. more of a MJordan & MagicJohnson fan tho. :)
