Foot Locker x Nike ‘Nicknames’ Commercial Starring Kevin Durant (VIDEO)

Our KICKS cover boy gets a nickname. Sort of.

Nicknames are a time-tested tradition, passed on to players who earn them. So what’s Kevin Durant’s nickname? Um, Kevin? Check out the new spot from Foot Locker and Nike, as the new KD VI collection drops Saturday in stores and online. #SummerIsSerious!

love how he picked up the backpack

He stealing Kobe’s low cut balling shoe game. Kevin needs some fire, also I can’t wait till the real OKC leader Westbrook gets back. Corny commercial too.

    Kevin! Lol, that was funny

  • Dfrance

Kobe stole it from Nash and Same Cassell.

What is your deal with this Durant/Westbrook thing? Now he stole the low-cut idea from Kobe…let’s not act like Kobe didn’t copy anything…like, oh I don’t know…Michael Jordan’s game and mannerisms.

All Kevin needs is a healthy Westbrook, a shooter and he along with HIS team will be fine. Stick to the Lakers talk.

Funny commercial. I still can’t believe him and Kobe play with low tops. Thats crazy.

Cat, Westbrook is OKC. If you play ball you would fear Westbrook more than Kevin. Kevin is a jump shooter, Westbrook will dunk on you, blow by you or stop for a 15 foot jump shot. The funny thing is, when Westbrook went down, Kevin looked overwhelm, like the season is over. I promise you if Kevin goes down, I bet you Westbrook would not act like the season is over, he would ball. I love Westbrook game and I wished he would have left OKC. Because people like you, who do not know basketball think Kevin is the team leader. Even Kevin has stated that Westbrook is the emotional team leader and the team feeds off of him. I coached sports and would want Westbrook emotional fire more than Kevin not speaking quiet, back pack wearing I cry on mothers shoulder when game is over, but don’t play defense or rebound self. Westbrook should have left, but after last season once he went down, people understood how he was the real leader of the team. If I was OKC, I would tell Westbrook to lead and Kevin to follow.

    Kevin “Kevin” Durant

Complete foolishness on all accounts. Sounds like you’ve never even watched the Thunder play which is strange because you should have watched them eliminate your Lakers in 2011-2012.

Like I said, stick to the Lakers love. You sound stupid trying to discuss anything else. Westbrook’s style of play is flashy and exciting…that excites the team. But Durant is the leader by example. He’s the second best player in the world…he’s not following anybody and he shouldn’t unless the guy he’s following is named LeBron James. Anyone else defers to him. Durant didn’t look lost without Westbrook. When a team loses its 2nd best player, they struggle. That’s what happened. Simple. As for him crying after losing, again, it’s easy to sit here and be an Internet tough guy. When’s the last time you lost in the NBA Finals? If you’ve never been there, it’s probably best if you keep your mouth shut. And Durant averaged 8 rebounds a game the past two seasons, by the way. So he does rebound. Any idiot could Google his stats and find that out.
