John Wall Makes it Rain in a DC Club (VIDEO)

When John Wall signed an $80 million extension with the Washington Wizards, the young fella became overwhelmed with emotion. Now, it’s time to party (and burn through some of the cash.) Wall was spotted making it rain inside Stadium on Saturday night.

    Please be a joke.

It looks so desperate… there’s nothing mack daddy about throwing money on the floor while people ignore you, it just looks like you really, really would like some attention.

  • Mrdjhiphop23

He barely started his $80 million contract extension and he’s throwing his cash out like it was nothing.

This is a sign that he’s going to go broke when he finishes his nba career or close to it.

  • NaHomie

    I really hope those are $1 bills….

  • ctk

20/8/5/2stls a game make the playoffs nobody cares he did this …Harden does it on the regular ..lol

  • anon

This will probably be a PR nightmare for him…and it’ll be good for him. It’s better to learn a lesson about this kind of behaviour early, before you’ve burned through the whole stack of $80 mil.

  • spit hot fiyah

he can’t do it like chuck and c-webb

    classy gesture….

  • Lorrend

So we get a video of this but couldn’t get one of the Air Force soldier doing a windmill in boots and fatigues during the USA scrimmage in Vegas? …no wonder these clowns grow up thinking its cool to go to a club in a 1985 adidas tank top and throw out 1′s on top of people who aren’t playing attention.

  • shockexchange

When the players cry “broke” during the next CBA negotiations, their cries will fall on deaf ears. The sad part is that Wall thinks his salary is somehow correlated to his talent; its more correlated to growth in revenues from the TV networks bidding up NBA broadcast rights.

  • JibbsIsBallin

Get this out of the way while you’re young I guess. But learn from the guys that’s already been there and done that. This is ultimately very stupid to do.

  • ImRichYaBish

Just because he signed a new contract dosent mean now he wants to burn through some cash. Its like if this was taken right after he got drafted, you would say,”Wall burns through rookie contract”. Just stop it. Its so wack to record him doing this anyway.

  • Stepfan Raiford

Not a good sign for my squad. smh

  • ImRichYaBish

Whatever it may be I dont think Wall gives a phuck. Especially when you getting over a half million dollar check every two weeks.

I think you wasnt there in the gym with him! And his hard work or his coasting through life paid off.

  • shockexchange

After your stating of facts that have nothing to with the conversation, the Shock Exchange stands corrected. Fans will be sympathetic when the players cry “broke” during the next CBA negotiations. His bad.

  • pposse

did you know that MJ’s salary in 1998 of 33 million is equivalent to being paid out 47.3 million dollars in 2013?

  • shockexchange

Didn’t know that. SE does know that (i) whatever MJ’s 1998 salary was, he generated multiples of that in revenue for the Bulls and (ii) Joe Johnson’s current contract is more than MJ earned over his entire career.

  • MUBWAR

    huh… what? no it’s not.

  • king e

Disgusting. I dont know why people do this lol it doesn’t matter how much money you got this is just stupid, atleast when you gamble you can get that something in return this is dumb

  • Nathan Shane Long

What happened to the kid who was fake “crying” at his press conference and being fake “humble”

  • berkamore

    To your point. SE.

An estimated $10 billion effect on the US economy back in the day. Mike was just a cash register, unbelievable.

  • Cartel

He better sit down and watch the movie “Broke”…That’s all I’m going to say…

  • Ishmael Jenkins

Always dislike seeing dudes do this. Grown men who come from areas where people are struggling. He should come back to Raleigh and “make it rain” down some of these streets where poor people don’t know when their next meal will come and where it will come from.

    He’s young. He’ll learn.

  • The Seed

Hopefully he giving his 10% back to the Word of God church. I don’t like this dude’s personality, he is a follower. Washington needs to get there money back, he is not a max player, simple.

  • ZenGarden

dude failing before he even started the season

  • Busta213

Im sure that cash’ll be tuition money for them girls dancing their way through college ;o)

  • Will Lee

    silly

  • Caboose

    Why?

  • http://www.rich-imaging.com/ Dutch Rich

I feel the sudden urge to write a book about how an inner city kid from Raleigh predicted massive inflation!!

  • shockexchange

Better not write it in 1st person. You narcissist.

  • 3Chainz

option 3…. Or its early symptoms…

  • Junkie

I remember him crying about his mom working hard to support him, I wonder what she’d say now

  • Interdico Scriptor

    witness

  • Interdico Scriptor

I cannot figure you out, but you make me laugh. Kudos

  • Interdico Scriptor

go deeper… lol. Seriously, a comment on Washington’s frivolous ways was expected.

  • danpowers

    lol

  • danpowers

… and i am even one of those who think he is worth his max deal. as a basketball player…. on nba standards. they just caught him acting like a prick. i dont want to know how many guys all around the league act like that in private.

the nba’s rookie programme should feature sociology courses lol

  • Max

I’ve never understood why anyone would do this..

  • shockexchange

Dutch Rich is nothing more than an attention whore. Who speaks in 1st person like that son?

  • playa

Daaamn what a bunch of old farts&bitter depressed “grown mans” we have in here.Would people chill for the second, after few months of uneployment im going to cash my first check in a liiiiittle while next month and i can relate to Wall’s video :) Just funny, pimpish stuff, dont get sucked into parental advisor role please, let youths be you know like…. youths?

  • http://www.rich-imaging.com/ Dutch Rich

    Well…if it isn’t the Alzheimer’s express…right on schedule.

  • Jb Al

Nobody’s even looking at him! (Maybe because they were just $1 bills…) I thought making it rain was supposed to happen when you work up the crowd into a frenzy, beside the DJ Booth?!

  • shockexchange

Good luck with your book. Sounds like a great concept. Real talk.

  • http://www.rich-imaging.com/ Dutch Rich

Humor aside, I really was hoping on some insight from you considering the topic. Real talk

  • shockexchange

The economy is gonna experience a double-dip recession. After Bernanke stops Quantitative Easing, the market will pull back and eventually crash. Save every penny you can and when it crashes, dump it all into the market <—– real talk. Shock Exchange out.

  • Mike From Spain

    80 million in 5 years = 16 million a year before tax.

say you are left with 10 million after tax… divided between 365 = 27400 US dollars a day.

Unless these where $1000 dollar bills, he’d be alright doing this everyday, barring other insane expenses.

Note, I don’t like the gesture, and it looks silly because even he looks uninterested.
