Tyreke Evans Sprains Ankle During Preseason Opener (VIDEO)

Get well soon, ‘Reke.

Tyreke Evans played his first game with the New Orleans Pelicans yesterday, a performance that unfortunately ended early after the 24-year-old went down with what looked like a pretty nasty ankle sprain. X-rays were negative, though he’ll undergo an MRI in the coming few days.

That’s why you don’t trade Eric Gordon right away. Him and Tyreke = One really good player

I like this idea haha, the two can never succeed at the same time, but they’re superstars if the other’s out. Not an awful situation for the Pelicans!

I laughed so hard at Monty’s reaction, that was PRICELESS he literally face palmed as soon as it happened hahaha.

This literally pissed me off. Not only do I hate when players get injured in preseason, but the way he had his legs in the air, it even looked like he was going to land wrong. Why would he do that, I don’t know. But Anthony Morrow shined out there though, so it was cool. (Don’t know what was Holiday’s problem (8 turnovers), but he needs to get it straight, especially pairing up with AD).

I hate to see injuries but man, Tyreke REALLY needs to learn the correct ways to jump, land, and absorb contact. Dudes like Westbrook, Manu, and Kobe have those skills mastered. Reke will forever be hurt if he doesn’t figure this out.

Beverly has gotten quicker from last season. He should start over lin.

Tyreke won’t start but will come off the bench to give the 2nd unit a boost in scoring. I don’t mind seeing Jrue, Gordon start Marrow at SF. That’d be lethal off the 3 (assuming gordon is healthy).

Rivers looks like he improved or looks more comfortable playing. But if Tyreke can bring back his rookie year performance then hornets 2nd unit is solid.

Yooooo, is nobody noticing Pat Beverly’s leg on this clip?? No one is gonna say anything until he takes out a $$ maker like KD or Lebron. Dude plays hard, but he is dirty.

  • Max

    Doesn’t Westbrook count as a $$ maker?

  • Da Real

I framed that comment wrong. A $$ maker for the NBA and it’s global cause. Westbrook makes $$ for jus OKC at the moment.
