Larry Sanders Club Brawl Footage Released (VIDEO)

Bucks center throws hands.

Milwaukee police released some pretty amazing footage of Bucks center Larry Sanders fighting a gang of people in a nightclub (which resulted in a thumb injury that required surgery.) Sanders is now facing some minor legal trouble. Per the Journal Sentinel: “Police have ticketed Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders for disorderly conduct and assault and battery in connection with a Nov. 3 altercation at Apartment 720, a popular downtown nightclub. The two charges are municipal citations. The Milwaukee County district attorney’s office said it had no plans to issue criminal charges against Sanders. The municipal citations carry a fine of $185 for the disorderly conduct ticket and a fine of $366 for the assault and battery ticket. Michael Hart, Sanders’ attorney, said Wednesday that Sanders was not the aggressor in the incident. ‘We are going to defend him,’ Hart said. ‘He has gotten a bad rap. The facts will bear that out.’ A police official said at least one other person would be ticketed in connection with the incident.”

Why toss glass bottles around to hapless club goers? That’s dangerous. Flying glass is not good at all. He ought to be in trouble for that stunt. Let security handle that. I think they jumped him after he was tossing bottles because it was dangerous. Someone is going to try and stop that. Larry was at fault for escalating the situation.

My first question: Why do basketball fans need to know what Larry Sander does in the Club… Has nothing to do with Basketball the game or the nba… It has to do with Larry Sanders off the job

    Athletes are not moral agents..

Why are you here? How did you get here? What will happen when you die?

Sanders is a negligent POS who leaves his dogs out in the cold. Im happy i just watched him gettin slapped around slipping all over the club like a fool.

again basketball dont focus on the person off the court. they are entertainers whileplaying. dont get consumed in their lives… search for absolute truth.

Whether Michael jordan believes or does not believe in his Creator he will be resurrected like all human beings to take account for their deeds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdhk2y6zFg4

I agree that their outside lives should be their own business in most cases. But when you injure yourself off the court, requiring surgery that makes you miss games on the court, it kind of becomes the fans business don’t you think?

A lot of the contracts athletes sign speak to the activities they can/can’t do in their personal lives & during their down time, also there’s that whole “conduct detrimental to the team” thing. What I’m trying to say is, there’s a lot of gray area when it comes to athletes, off court/off field activities and what’s appropriate.

  • Dfrance

Well I was responding to Velocity saying fans don’t need to know what athletes do off the court. I was saying if the offcourt activity causes you to miss games than the fans have a right to know what happened.

In terms of what the contract does or doesn’t allow, I’m sure they keep it as vague as possible so that they can have unlimited ways to say a player voided their deal. lol

If my neighbor, OFF HIS JOB, left his dogs freezing outside, OFF HIS JOB, and got busted for fighting in a club OFF HIS JOB, I’d judge him morally as a “POS”…off his job or during his work hours as an air conditioner repairmen.

    Sorry, groupie…
