Nick Young Says Failed 360-Layup to Appear on ‘Shaqtin a Fool’ (VIDEO)

To be fair, Nick Young has tried this shot before, with far less disastrous results. On Sunday night, however, Young went baseline and attempted an insane, spinning layup and he knows that he will be relentlessly clowned for it. Per the LA Daily News: “The question didn’t come from a probing reporter. It actually came from Lakers forward Xavier Henry at a nearby locker. ‘Did everybody see that 360?’ Henry asked. They sure did. The Lakers’ 106-94 loss Sunday to the Toronto Raptors doesn’t just involve Kobe Bryant’s rusty nine point performance on 2 of 9 shooting, eight rebounds, four assists and eight turnovers in his first game since tearing his left Achilles tendon eight months ago. The game also featured Young inexplicably driving down the baseline, performing a 360 spin move around Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas and shooting over the basket. ‘That will probably be on Shaqtin a Fool,’ Young joked, referring to Shaquille O’Neal’s segment on TNT that features NBA bloopers. Young provided an otherwise impressive performance, offering a team-leading 19 points on 7 of 16 shooting. But why did he make that play? ‘I do that all the time,’ Young said. ‘When I did that, I was kind of stuck. He hit me. He hit my arm. That’s why the ball flicked over the basket.'”
