Michael Malone Fined $25K for Calling Referee a ‘Coward’ (VIDEO)

Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Malone lost it on Saturday night in Memphis, repeatedly calling a ref a “coward” following a controversial jump ball at the end of the game. The NBA fined Malone $25,000. From the press release:

Sacramento Kings head coach Michael Malone has been fined $25,000 for verbal abuse of a game official and not proceeding directly to his locker room following the completion of the game, it was announced Sunday by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations.

Malone’s actions occurred following the Kings’ 91-90 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 17, at FedExForum.

    I’m confused as to when the jumpball was called. Was it called on the first attempt, where Rudy came back down with the ball? Or on the second attempt where it was knocked away?
