Player of the D.A.Y.

Too much L.A.

By Sam Rubenstein

There were two games played last night. In one of them, there was a 50 point scorer for a losing team and two front court players putting up huge stat lines for the winner, but the key player was Sam Cassell, sparking the come from behind win. A lot of that was taking advantage of Kobe wearing down and Smush relaxing for him. Too many standout performances in one game to give the award to anyone, so we’ll head over to the other game.

People say that the Nets match up well with Cleveland, but not on this night. Bron was the man among boys that he can be sometimes, and the result was a Player of the D.A.Y. trophy.

It’s almost over. Monday and Tuesday it’s business as usual, though I feel kind of strange giving this award out when about 15% of the league is playing hard, if even that. Monday might be the final Player of the D.A.Y. and D.A.Y. of the season. I have learned my lesson from mid-season, and when I do my end of the season look back, I will cut cut cut chop chop chop and whittle it down to something readable.

Most importantly, I came up with a simple yet effective way of how we will cover the playoffs this year, and we’ll talk more about that next week. We’re almost there. Have a great weekend everyone!

Here’s hoping this season’s postseason is at least 80% as exciting as last season’s post. I can’t W.A.I.T.

Sam, do us a favor and run a tally of Player of the D.A.Y. winners.

  • Reggie Evans

P.O.D. number 6 for Lebron, along with sole possesion of second place for Player of the Y.E.A.R. – behind Kobe Bryant, who has 7.

Reggie has his tally, and I have mine. Hopefully they are the same numbers.

if not, we’ll have to send in a researching team to find out who rigged the votes.
anyway, lebron dominated in the 3rd quarter last night and offered a glimpse of his unlimited future. he’s devastating in the mid-post. why didn’t michael redd sign with the cavs again?

  • David

Corey Maggette was a beast though

10-15 from the field, 24 trips to the foul line, 39 points, 8 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals, huge win for clips

Simple yet effective ways to do things are awesome.

My information is for entertainment purposes only. I do not attest to the accuracy of them. Big ups to Microsoft Excel.

At first i read two days ago on the worldwide follower that DWADE was going to stop dunking cause of sore knees (never mind the slightly dislocated left shoulder) then he just planted a hanging one handed superjam on the pacers.. hmm, diva much? Still, i am so happy to have him back, cause the man is awfully entertaining, golly. Shaq stuffing Dunleavy into the hoop with the ball was also quite nice. Early in the season, i thought the heat were dunzo, but they just seem to have been coasting, now? Look out below. Posey’s clicking, E-boy is passing (well) and even though GP went down, he’ll be back soon. Shieeeat, i can’t wait for the playoffs to start. Even want Mambiatch to make it so we can enjoy Raja pounding him into the ground one more time.

And Chief? Yes they will. The only teams the bulls fear out east are Detroit (for obvious reasons) and the heat, cause they met the last two playoffs. The wizards are (sadly) done for.

  • Bill Biehl

The wizards wont make it out of the first round without agent zero. The east is hard to predict, but it doesnt matter. Whoever comes out of the west will win it all. How fun would it be to see the Cavaliers and the Suns finals?

it wasn’t that hard to call. Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, Tyrus, Big Ben, Kirk. Against Antawn Jamison and…yeah that’s it.
