Is Stephon Marbury Going to Play in Italy?

by Marcel Mutoni

-Steph continues to amaze. He’s now claiming that he’s going to play in Italy once his deal with the Knicks is up.

“I’m not just thinking of doing it, I’m going to do it,” Marbury vowed yesterday. “My wife loved it there. It’s like a [David] Beckham thing.”

“I would’ve played 13 years in the league,” said Marbury, who is writing a Web blog for The Post. “That’s a lot. Most guys don’t get to seven.”

(Update: You can read more about Steph’s Italian dreams on his new blog. Needless to say, it is an interesting post.)

-This guy doubts that Mark Cuban could turn around the Chicago Cubs.

-Kevin Durant continues to struggle with his shot – though he scored 29 points, Durant only shot 7/21 from the field in a game against the Jazz in the Rocky Mountain Revue – but he’s already getting a glimpse of what life will be like in the NBA as a superstar in the making.

Durant, for his part, seemed blown away by all the attention.

“I really don’t like it too much, but it’s all right,” he said. “I mean, it’s a team sport. I don’t think it should be just all on me. It would fun for my teammates to get a lot of recognition too, because without them I wouldn’t be anything.”
