Heart Surgery for Etan

Etan Thomas is scheduled to undergo aortic valve surgery today. In all likelihood, Thomas’s season is done.

(All the best to Etan and his family from everyone here at SLAM.)

Stay strong Etan. The league needs more of your heart, intelligence and wisdom. Actually, your integrity is indicative of what society as a whole needs more of. Thinking and hoping for the speediest recovery possible. Stay strong and be blessed Etan, you’ve got a lot of thoughts/prayers/well wishes coming your way, so feel the love.

I’ve always appreciated the way you unconditionally speak your mind, I get geeked when I come to the site and you’ve got a new piece up. Here’s to you coming back strong like Ronny; you’ve got our prayers and thoughts Etan!

As a die hard wizards fan, I just want to say to you Etan – you will be missed. I know I’m not the only person who is perturbed at the news of having to see Haywood on the court more than necessary. Next time you two get into a fight, just kick him in the balls for me, to relay the message that he is soft, arrogant, and can’t even palm a basketball.

Get well Etan. Forget about anything else at this time, basketball should be an afterthought in this lifethreatening conditions. Playing on anticlotting medicine? It’s gonna be more than hard.

Etan I left a message with CS. You are in my prayers as I type brotha. Your world is bigger than basketball and I have no doubt that you’ll come back with an even stronger, spiritual and more powerful sense of consciousness that we all will learn from. We’ll all be waiting for your return. Gimme a shout when you can.
