Is Stephon About to Snitch on Isiah?

Let the War Begin

by Marcel Mutoni

The situation in New York is getting uglier by the minute. Yesterday, Stephon Marbury left the team in Phoenix and flew back to Gotham, saying that coach Isiah Thomas had given him permission to jet.

In the Daily News this morning, Frank Isola describes a stunning scene on the team plane before last night’s game, when Marbury was informed that he was being pulled from the starting lineup. In a fit of rage, Stephon reportedly threatened to spill the beans on Isiah:

“Isiah has to start me,” Marbury fumed, according to the source. “I’ve got so much (stuff) on Isiah and he knows it. He thinks he can (get) me. But I’ll (get) him first. You have no idea what I know.”

The war is officially on!

After going through a devastating offseason, things are, almost inexplicably, about to get much worse for the Knicks.

I suppose it’s only fitting that the man who Isiah Thomas triumphantly brought back home will ultimately prove to be his undoing. Sadly, they deserve each other.

I’d take Eddy Curry, too. (I’d rather have him back than Tyson Chandler.) They SHOULD have tried to make a deal for Z-Bo. And don’t even get me started on what they should have done for KG. Also, David Lee may have offensive deficiencies, but compared to Ben Wallace he looks like Hakeem Olajuwon.

Also, if the Knicks need a point guard, they can probably get Steve Francis back.

Well Russ, I can’t wait to read your angry column. Could you do one on the Hawks too? Just cuz.

    I think that’s Lang’s job. Literally.

Hey leave Terrell Brandon out of this, he’s the one that got me hooked on the Cavs in the first place. I’ll trade you Milt Palacio for your little list if that’s okay.

Why didn’t this happen in the summer when there was no basketball to distract us from this bad soap opera?

“Y’all Musta Forgot” that Roy Jones played point in the CBA. Sign him and see if Melo goes AWOL before the next game at the garden. Maybe Magic can come back. He doesn’t have AIDS anymore right? Worse comes to worst, they can stack Tyus Edney on top of Nasty Nate…

on a more serious but less serious note, who else thinks darrick martin could get 10 and 5 starting? plus then if MJ comes back again, you’ve got someone to trash talk him (and lose you the game)

    Poor and boring .
A coach that can’t connect with his players and a starting point guard that acts like a little child if he’s not getting what he wants .
I think after his poor last game Marbury shouldn’t be mad about being benched and some critics on his game.

i hope during a game zeke and steph star fighting in the garden, just like last year with nuggets! and mardy collins bitchslaps steph like carmelo did to mardy!

    ISHIA IS SCREWEEEEED

  • Charles Horton

If Mardy hits Steph, he better run twice as fast as ‘Melo did after his sucker-punch.

Also, Steph’s last minute errata in the Heat game? Who else smells a conspiracy? Either he tanked on prupose… or, there’s something in the ball. (I used to say that, “There’s something in the ball,” sh*t everytime some nobody on the Bulls would hit a big shot against the “Clubber’s Lane” Knicks.)
