J.Kidd Derby: Mavs Drop Out

Says here that Dallas is no longer interested in Jason Kidd, which of course means that they’re probably gonna pull the trigger on the trade in the next few days.

BREAKING NEWS: JASON KIDD HAS BEEN TRADED TO THE SUNS FOR STEVE NASH!

  • Ryne Nelson Posted: Jan.31 at 2:15 pm
It makes sense they would drop out. They’re giving up five players and possibly picks for a player in the last years of his career.

yeah right. that’d be a bad trade for both teams.

It would be stupid to trade harris, stack and bass or diop. I don’t think that would change much for this year, and it’s definitely not good for the future.

Who IS going to make the trade? I mean if Dallas pulls out who does that leave with real options? Portland shouldn’t touch it, it would mess up the chemistry of such a young team. The Cavs have no one the Nets would even want. I think Dallas ends up doing the deal anyway. Cuban’s signing hand gets the shakes.

Portland should never make the trade. They have that spanish rookie guard and Roy to run the point, why would they get rid of their chemistry and frontcourt deepth for D. Harris?

I heard Kidd is getting traded for Marbury.

  • Ken Posted: Jan.31 at 2:58 pm
Oh wait, that was like 8 years ago.

Jason Kidd gets traded to New York where Thomas can ruin another nba career

  • Ryne Nelson Posted: Jan.31 at 5:59 pm
The problem with Kidd to New York is the Knicks would have up Curry or Randolph. This is wrong on every level.

would he still start at the ASG for the east if hes traded to the west?

  • RedRum Posted: Jan.31 at 7:45 pm
I really cannot see how this thing can work… he has such a contract, that whoever trades for him would have to give up so much that they would not be a contender any more, similarly to kobe. and no.. I cannot see Thorn having any ties/buddies to other teams to hand kidd over ala McHale-KG… Kidd should have signed with the Spurs in 2003. He would have been picking his 5th ring this summer..

kidd at the 1,marbury at the 2 and crawford at the 3…now that’s small ball…make it happen…and maybe dave zirin happy….
