It’s About Time For That Comeback, Latrell.

by Russ Bengtson

Latrell Sprewell may be able to feed his family, but he can’t keep his yacht.

With the 35-year-old Shaquille O’Neal being hooked up to the juvenation machine in Phoenix, the 37-year-old Robert Horry (a fomer college teammate of Spree’s) still hitting big shots in San Antonio, and the 38-year-old Sam Cassell still drawing interest from around the League, maybe the 37-year-old Sprewell could find another NBA home.

And hey, if Chris Webber could reconcile with Don Nelson, maybe Spree could make nice with P.J. Carlesimo and mentor Kevin Durant in Seattle. Stranger things have happened, right?

OK, maybe not.

Maybe he can play for the Knicks? I think that’s the best solution. Heck, even maybe Isaiah will sign him 10mil/year. I’m not being sarcastic but it really is the best solution

Ya, and KG wanted the T-wolves to extend this guy.

  • Bubbachuck

    Ya Spree!

I hope Spew (no R) comes back and plays with the Spu’s (no R)….that would make Pop happier surely…?!?!?

    O_o

I swear that no one retires anymore. They just take a few years off and get right back at it.

I cannot believe I used to like this player and actually respect his game. LJ, Spree, Houston and a much-declined Ewing.. can’t blame me, it was fun to root for! But what in the holy hell was this dude thinking.

Ahaha I just caught the line about Sprewell mentoring Kevin Durant and had this image of P.J. Carlesimo getting choked again, but thist time Spree’s passing down some of his veteran expertise, telling KD, “gotta find the windpipe and just bring her home, kid…”

    LOL…tealish – thats awesome imagery.

You know….my best pair of kicks were spree’s…low cut (wayyy before Gil’s style) all green and white swade…

    light and sweet.

60 percent of NBA players are broke after retirement

I wouldn’t mind seeing Spree back in an NBA uniform. AH, the fact that is lost his yacht is too much information. That’s his business and none of ours.

I’m sorry Capt., but what exactly was your comment about KG supposed to mean? Considering what happened to the team after Spree and Cassell split, maybe the T-Wolves should have tried a little harder to re-sign him.
