Pietrus Really, Really, Really Wants a Trade

by Marcel Mutoni

NBA players – pro athletes in general, really – usually give subtle hints about their unhappiness with their current situation: Guys will cite a lack of chemistry; complain about shots; and when all else fails, just have their agents quietly leak trade demands to the press. Not Mickael Pietrus, though.

The Warriors’ fifth year player is unabashedly out in the open with his wish to be traded.

“I want to be moved,” said Pietrus, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season and has no plans of returning to Oakland. “I want to be moved. I want to be moved. I want to be traded.”

Anybody else picturing Pietrus jumping up and down like a furious little kid when demanding to be moved?

Pietrus’s agent claims that the Warriors are being unreceptive to trade offers. Could it be instead that teams simply aren’t all that interested in your client, seeing as how he averages 5 points per game and all? Just a thought.
