Allen Iverson’s fractured right ring finger will require surgery in the offseason.

are we gonna get any april fool’s jokes today? like “Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs injured his cheekbone today while practicing the art of full-court smiling.”
But he is still playiing through it as usual
He is the Truth!!!
AI will probably be balling through the anesthesia so who really cares?
Ivy is balling even when he isn’t. This man needs to make playoffs, Denver, step it up!
AI is the most overrated player ever. Sure he plays through the injuries but he never makes the team around him better.
dude, anthony, im not much of a nuggets fan but how can say ai doesnt make his team better? ai and carmelo are one of the most deadly duos in the league
Anthony must be forgetting the year the Sixers went to the finals with Tom McCullough, Matt Geiger, and Eric Snow. They definitely didn’t need AI. They coulda beat the Lakers in the finals if it wasn’t for all that AI showboating. Friggin AI.
Sadly though, Iverson needing surgery means he’s not completely indestructible, as previously assumed. I look forward to next summer’s “Is Iverson showing his age?” stories, followed by another season of reckless drives, a 26 point average, and dozens of intricate cornrow patterns.
Thank you tenorca.
People are such followers…they listen to what the media says and goes with it. Anythony, look at the players stats of Denver before Iverson Iverson arrived and after…that should answer your logic. The fact that that man carried a team to the NBA Finals and made a ton of players on his teams look better then what they really are and still gets questioned truly boggles my mind. smh
yes, thank you tenorca.
AI is basketball’s Dynamite Kid.
You’re both welcome. It shouldn’t have been necessary to defend one of the great little men in the history of basketball but, hey, here we are.
yall jus hatin. AI is a warrior. playin through injuries, man i doubt u guyz can. He iz great.
screw u anthony! damn straight holly! thanx tenorca!
now what I wonder is this: if AI’s finger starts to hurt more and more, will he still be able to what he does best? He’s done great so far, but it might bother him even more.
Forget greatest “little” man. He’s one of the greatest. PERIOD. Case for Iverson making other players better: see Snow, Eric (LeBron has him now).
Anthony is one of the most ignorant posters ever.
I receieved an APRILS FOOL post in my email account saying that Dan Majerle was signed for the rest of the season to the Suns…haha…it had me!
It was just a lead up to the voting for the Majerle Hustle award that gets handed out each year…
I would STILL take Majerle over Gordon Girosick today.
I reckon that ‘anthony’ fellow is either Gilbert Arenas just playin’ or it’s Mark Cuban…rueing the day he signed Jason Kidd.
damn…you wouldn’t notice by the way he plays tho
the fact that ai is still averaging 26ppg is utterly amazing to me. but the way denver plays, and their line up, they should be winning more games. they have camby and kenyon! how can a team be bad at defense with those 2 players? don’t tell my melo doesn’t try on D.
The Answer will be okay. Tough as nails.
@niQ – melo doesn’t try on d
yo,anthony, you’re an ass… allen “ironman” iverson is THE BIGGEST, BADDEST WARRIOR OF A PLAYER ever. a basketball world without a.i. is not a world i want to live in.
melllllo! you like 2 here ur name called, but get in line rookie. all the other vets that came before u, r a line of pros that u hav to jump over before u can stand in a.i.’s shoes. (HE’S 10 FEET TALL!!!)
yo, anthony, ur an ass. yo, tenorca, ur an ass. Allen “Ironman” Iverson, is not washed up, is not gettin’ old, and is one bad motha somthin’. a.i. is THE BIGGEST, BADDEST, GREATEST WARRIOR in nba history. any body who things different in friggin’ lunatic. a basketball world without a.i. is not a world i want to live in.
Well…. It’s not like they play BAD on D…but Kenyon isn’t the defensive force he used to be…and Carmelo well…. Yeah A beat up Kenyon and Anthony at the 4 and 3 spots…is a bit of a gap.
Anthony is possibly the most overrated player in the L.
People always put him in the discussion of the best scorer in the NBA and that completely blows my mind. When it really matters, he has no moves, nothing at all.
He goes into the post, because I guess the commentators keep saying how “big and strong” he is, but the same thing happens each time. He backs in and backs in, turns into the defender (1 or 2), leans forward and forces up a double clutcher that has no chance of going in. As a Nugget fan, I can only hope for a foul to be called.
More often than not, however, the end result is either a block or a line drive off the backboard, followed by a disheartened trudging back down the floor.
