LeBron Loves NY, especially Brooklyn…

By Sam Rubenstein

Well, don’t read too much into this but… I think he may be a free agent in 2010 or something like that, something about teams racing to dump contracts for cap room, you know just in case.

“My friendship was way before Jay was a part-owner of the Nets, and I loved the Garden way before I got in the NBA,” James said. “For some odd reason, whenever I get to the Garden, I always play well. So they want me to do it for 41 games instead of two games a year … They have a right to dream.”

So does D’Antoni, who will have plenty of time to cozy up to James this summer when Team USA reconvenes in Las Vegas for training camp in late July before leaving for the Olympics.

“I respect coach D’Antoni for what he does,” James said. “He’s an unbelievable coach, and what he’s going to do for this city is going to be great.”

And definitely don’t read too much into this.

Dwyane Wade checked in too:

“Maybe (D’Antoni) has an unfair advantage. I accept all bribes … You can see he loves offense. I love offense, and I know LeBron loves offense. So like I said, Coach, I accept all bribes if you want to bribe me. But that’s a ways away.”

Mark the date down, two years from today… all hell will break loose.

Honestly, nobody knows what LeBron will do in 2010. I don’t think LeBron himself knows for sure at this point. But may I ask the media at large to pretty please drop the Jay-Z angle on this story already? He owns a whopping 1% of the Nets. ONE PERCENT. Friends or not, he does not represent the Nets ownership to LeBron nor to anyone with half a brain.

    Wade and James overkill

Hey Dwyane stop that talk. We just brought you Micheal Beasley. Is that not a big enough bribe? Ok, how about another max contract? Ok, how about all those girls in the bikinis on South Beach seeing as your now divorced? Come on Wade, Riley’s pulling out all the stops for you, stay with us in 2010.

Wade and Lebron can pretty much win all the titles they want, I don’t care if the rest of their team is entirely comprised of Shawn Bradleys

I mean, Wade pretty much singlehandedly beat the Mavericks, Lebron beat the Pistons by himself and almost did the same thing to the NBA Champion Boston Celtics but was one Daniel Gibson short. That would just be a monsterous team.

    Hello Brooklyn 2.0

  • http://firemitchkupchak.com Jackie Moon

Shaq will rush to join so he can ride the coattails of other players.

  • niQ

the future is lebron and wade on one team. karl malone comes out of retirement to join the party. LOL

LeBron can say whatever he wants and people will run with it. He’s just having fun with this whole New York thing. Do I believe there’s a possibility he winds up with the Knicks or Nets? Sure, why not? He could wind up in Miami as well, or L.A. or anywhere else. Or, of course, he could stay in Cleveland. None of us know what’s going to happen, and neither does he.

  • snyper48

In 2010 Bynum will be a Monster, Kobe a Master and L.A will be unstoppable

  • Keith

I heard Lebron will join Steph in Italy. Is Steph even alive anymore?

So if the Knicks become my favourite team today…does that mean I’m onboard before any bandwagon talk lights up??

  • ciolkstar

    Lebron > Wade
You cant have 2 dudes with max deals on the same team. And if you were going to, Lebron+D12 would be the most dominant tandem possible.

  • ciolkstar

I hope winning stays the highesy priority for Lebreezy. If he pulls a d’Antoni and goes to a team that sucks just for the money and because Jay Z is an owner or the team plays in NYC. I love Lebron but that would suck.

    What about Newark?!

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Dacre Dacre

I think Houston picked up his final year on that contract…(Steve ‘Newark’ Novak)…?

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Dacre Dacre

@coikstar…wouldnt Bronbron going to NYK effectively turn them into a winning unit…? Possibly?
