The Cops Aren’t Very Happy With Isiah Thomas

by Marcel Mutoni

When news of Isiah Thomas’s overdose from sleeping pills broke on Friday, you just knew things would get a lot worse before they got better. Even though all signs pointed to him being the one who was hospitalized, the former Knicks coach told reporters that it was his daughter who required medical attention.

This, evidently, did not sit well with the police. When reached for comment in regards to Isiah’s claim, David Hall, the Harrison Police Chief, did not mince words.

“My cops … know the difference between a 47-year-old black male and a young black female,” Hall said. “It wasn’t his daughter – and why they’re throwing her under the bus is beyond my ability to understand.”

As though perhaps he was worried that his name wouldn’t make the papers, Hall then compared Zeke to Nixon:

“These people should learn something from Richard Nixon – it’s not the crime, it’s the coverup.”

Beautiful. You stay classy, David Hall.

And because this story couldn’t get any more bizarre, Isiah’s son told the NY Daily News that his father should be back on the job (whatever that is) today. As always, stay tuned…

    “Aren’t” very happy, maybe?

  • TADOne Posted: Oct.27 at 9:07 am
I’ll reserve my judgement until all the facts are straightened out.

I just thought this is Thomas’ family issues. When handled right, it didn’t have to be this way.

Why even talk to the media, man? You don’t need to deal with that stuff right now.

This is absolutely none of our business. In any way.At all.

who is happy with zeke the freak these days?

  • Funkdoc Posted: Oct.27 at 10:08 am
the media were too hard for Zeke. yeah, i know. dude is probably the worst coach ever. but we really milked all his self respect out of him. maybe we should just give him a rest… haha, a rest, not funny

Sound like all the facts are out. Zeke was caught in a lie. Anytime a celeb OD’s its news, always has been, always will be. When said Celeb then looks to be directly contradicting police reports, also news.

  • Holy Baller Posted: Oct.27 at 1:08 pm
Co-sign Diesel, and lol @ starbury&stevey. Eddy Curry would deflate the bus wheels

Am I the only one that feels it was unnecessary for the cop to say “black male” and “black female”?

  • RV Posted: Oct.27 at 3:01 pm
@ Irv, he was just trying to be as precise as possible since they didn’t have or didn’t want to release the names.

  • Sari Posted: Oct.27 at 5:00 pm
yea irv i thougt i was the only one to notice, i mean if it was a white person and a black person then it’d make sense, but i dun get the point of sayin “black male” and “black female”…

  • CP34MVP Posted: Oct.27 at 5:27 pm
i dont think they’re giving us the absolute full truth

  • Diesel Posted: Oct.27 at 5:27 pm
I think the cops feel like the cover up is making them look bad so they’re being extra descriptive to let people know that it was indeed Isiah without actually saying it.

  • Mark Z Posted: Oct.27 at 10:52 pm
This all could have been over very quickly. A Knick spokesman could have said “This is Thomas family matter. Please respect their privacy in this trying time…” Or something. No denial. No throwing his family under the bus, etc. Crazy how Zeke can make simple things complicated. Once you call out the cops, it’s news.
