Michael Jordan: Starting Jared Dudley Is ‘Out Of Whack’

M.J.’s got a point about the Bobcats’ weak frontcourt. If you’re starting Duds–a definite bench player–at power forward, you have a big problem.

Michael Jordan’s executive skills are wack.

Way to build some team confidence, MJ.

Uh, didn’t MJ higher Larry Brown?
Doesn’t he know that Larry Brown regularly establishes ridiculous rotations to teach players lessons?
What the eff is Jordan doing during the NBA season? Does he actually watch games?

Michael Jordan is untouchable. he could draft johnny knoxville at shooting guard and we would shrug our shoulders, mutter something about a questionable draft decision, then slip into a daydream about when michael jordan was so dominant that it was a foregone conclusion that the bulls were going to win a title… I can make the MJ is a bad exec. line as much as my heart desires…but at the end of the day, I get chills up my spine watching the AIR JORDAN shoe commercials, My eyes are steady transfixed on ESPN Classic games of Michael dissecting opposing defense, breaking down his enemy, first with a jab-step; then a shift of his weight forward, a stutter dribble, then an unmatched quick step to the goal…leaving the defense utterly frozen. Michael Jordan has caused more people to stand still in his wake than in the entire movie “The Happening.” (and we all know all people did in that movie was stand still)

Don’t worry, Morrison shaved his head, so everything is going to be fine, right?

  • http://www.toronto.com Mr. 416

    Morrison is a bust

  • Bro D.

    Mr. 416 is a bust.

Jared is one of the few players on that team with a semi-reliable jump shot. Leave him alone, maybe?

What a perfect, torturing mess for Jordan and Brown. What if Jordan’s whole executive career to this point has been a clever ruse designed for this very moment, to drive the price of the BETcats down so he can buy them and unleash his executive brilliance?

Dudley is a small forward. wth.

“Michael Jordan’s executive skills are wack.”
They certainly are, you’d think Jordan would know its HIS JOB to get the team a better option at PF than Sean May (who’s biggest achievement this year will be narrowly edging Eddy Curry in a hot dog eating contest) I respect Dudley’s hustle. he’s not ultra talented, but he goes hard. That counts for a lot.

  • ciolkstar

Morrison would only be good on an NBA team with a post presence. he nneds space and can’t create any on his own. Reagrdless of the hair on his head, if he’s still rocking that terrible, wispy-ass mustache he’s got no chance.

  • ciolkstar

    I can’t type.

I saw Dudley at Conte Forum when he was at BC, ain’t TOO far from where I live. He’s a good player, but not a starter.

  • tealish

I’m a little disappointed in Jordan. I thought his competitiveness in basketball wouldn’t be limited to the hardwood.

  • Diggy

That team sucks anyway. Free Gerald Wallace!!!

  • Breeze

@diggy i agree with the wallace free up..and whats good with mike mirco managing…but this goes back to the old saying talent cant teach talent….its a gift …jordan has no idea what hes doing…

    I wanna see MJ as a coach….

  • Gumdrop

There’s no way that would end well Jersey-King.

yeah its hard when you played like a God, I bet its like if God is watching some dude be a preacher or something badly and just keeps thinking please do it better, maybe, I digress.

MJ is a terrible owner and his b!tch Rod Higgins is such a ghost GM, everybody thinks Mike is our GM!!! Morrison was actually a decent pick and is turning out good for us, but our lack of power forwards is a huge problem. Since Emeka has decided he is a 100% Center, Nazar Mohammed cant get no burn and Sean May eating burgers, Jermareo Davidson’s got cut, and Ajince+Hollins being young 7 foot telphone poles, now our Power Forward is Jared Dudley, a guy who cant even dunk. Mike is right. God i wish i could say that more.

  • chintao

I love how this hometown writer lacked the cajones to ask MJ who should be starting in Dudley’s place. My guess is that Jordan doesn’t have a clear idea, because none of the Cats’ options look like winners. Of course, nevermind that it’s His Airness’s job to improve the options at Crazy Larry’s disposal.

could this be the second time MJ “gets cut”??
surely someone else would deal with matters…?…better.

  • jaywhy

come on Dud aint tht bad… hope MJ knows he’s screwin up the franchise…

anw do they still have Nazr?

  • underdog

What the hell this Jordan guy knows about basketball, anyway!?

  • http://hypebeast.com Spaceship Jay

Yeah, Mike needs to take a step back. The down side of being the pinacle of our basketball generation is that you have no where to look but down. No one is good enough, tough enough, fast enough… It’s easy to see that he has a constant “I used to do that with ease, why can’t you FOOL?” type of attitude. Go play overseas. Destroy the rest of the earth.
