Popovich Using Extreme Caution With Ginobili’s Return

“Ginobili, who has yet to play this season while recovering from offseason surgery on his left ankle, said earlier this week he would lobby Popovich to let him suit up against Memphis. His pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears.”

    Manu haters are just idiots. I understand those who dont like Timmy(boring) or Bowen (dirty), and almost understand people who constantly criticize Tony for not being a “real PG”. But Manu haters just don’t appreciate basketball the way I do and get no sympathy from me. He is unquestionably one of the top perimter players in the world. Easily top 5. Tough as nails and he’s clutch to boot. He’s back tonight, albeit in limited minutes, but the guy is a premeire player in the world.

    @ Josh D: We know he does it to win. But it’s still flopping. And if he doesn’t do it to win, what would we care?! It could potentially give him an advantage.

    EVERYONE flops! Every post player that has ever taken a charge from a PG/SG and hit the deck is “flopping”. Manu just happens to be better at it than most NBA players. I’m pretty sure that playing soccer, where the field of play is so large and learning to draw attention to contact is very valuable, increases flopping skills and the liklihood of flopping. But its become widespread in the L now, becuase its effective. For the record, I dont like flopping and I think it hurts the game. But its within the rules. For now.

    It certianly is a shame to realize that I am indeed an idoit after all these years, thank you ciolkstar for clarifying. Oh and I think I might have an idea why we hate Manu, just a brief rundown
    -on his back more often than a ten dollar hooker
    -dirtier than said hooker
    -”winning mentality”= douchebag who stops at nothing to get an advantage, aka. Argentianian Barry Bonds, who is so likeable btw
    -Is in fact a member of the San Antonio Spurs
    -travels more often than Jet Blue
    The fact that two of the points I made involve hookers should clue any unaware to just Manu is to B-ball. He has proven himself a passive-aggressive, dirty and classless player who stops at nothing to win and unfortunately is damn successful, however that doesn’t forgive his MANY transgressions against the game.
