Shaq Uses the Laws of Physics to Explain Flagrant Foul

According to Shaq, Isaac Newton is as much to blame as he is for Rodney Stuckey’s hard fall to the ground.

    It’s T-Mac’s fault.

I’m just glad Stuckey didn’t get injured and that is all i’m going to say on it.

  • Randy Brown

Such an arsehole. You can’t go across somebody’s body with both hands and claim you were going for the ball. Maybe not an ejection, but def not a clean play.

    First?

  • Randy Brown

    sigh

All I’m going to say is that I bet people are going to think twice before driving on Shaq and I’m sure Shaq knew this before the play

I’ll take Sheed’s calmness as a sign it wasn’t a flagrant 2, and that’s all I’m gonna say about it

Ouch! That video hurts to watch, especially since I had my sound turned down and still heard Stuckey’s head hit the floor. Definitely a good call on the ejection for that, but honestly it just looked like a really big dude who’s not as agile as he used to be making an awkward play. Expect more of this as Shaq gets slower and the league gets faster.

  • namik

Of course since a Suns player did it, it’s not a dirty play.

  • Breeze

that was a dirty play period…

  • mike

Gotta be tough out there. Stuckey should know his NBA history. Did he really think he was gonna be the first to dunk on Shaq?

  • mike

Oops, i mean second, Derrick Coleman did it once.

Hey coach Porter, how does it feel when your player show’s you who’s really calling the shots in front of a tv audience. Nice, eh?

  • jaywhy

you see the slow-mo replay and you know Shaq didnt want to hurt Stuck on purpose… but im fine with the ejection and all… just wanna say it wasn’t intentional…

well this is nothing compared to the Bogut ejection… im starting to really hate KG…

  • kev

    shaq has become so pathetic

this is from a Suns fan here: this was a dirty play. Not the Bowen-type dirty which is to injure without anyone noticing. This was injury putting the entire league on notice. I don’t think Shaq expected Stuckey to come down head first, but he meant to hit Stuckey so hard, the dude would pause before he ran to the basket the next time. He did NOT go for the ball. His arms came down exactly the way he wanted them to.
I have no problem with this type of play, as long as the Suns don’t whine every little god damn time it happens to them

and as Jaywhy said, if this was Boston, it would have been an offensive foul on Stuckey.

  • http://AllAbout-Penis-Enlargement.com Jukai

If this was Boston, Shaq could have ELBOWED the referee afterwards and it still would have been an offensive foul on Stuckey

  • littleshotlarry

The Bogut technical was some complete nonsense. I don’t think Shaq wanted to hurt anyone, but it was definitely a hard foul.

After watching the video it is clear that AMARE’s lack of Defensive Abilities is the reason Shaq and Rodney Stuckey had an encounter mid-air. Until Amare learns not to get pinned on a screen, where he ends up screening his own man (Grant Hill) , Shaq is going to have to continue to cover for Amare and help on D.

  • awesomepossum

C’mon fellas. Stuckey is an intrepid guard taking to the hole, it’s part of his game. No hard feelings from either side, this will sweep over quickly. KG on the other hand..

  • Young Chris MP3

    Shaq’s the man.

shaq uses newton to explain the foul, i use the ridiculous difference in SIZE

  • riggs

yall know he didnt aim for his body? he aimed for the ball and caught his arms…come on now.

  • http://slamonline.com RV

so now shaq’s saying he and Kobe never had ANY beef and that he’d consider going back to LA in 2010?? He’ll try anything to win another title..i wouldn’t be surprised if he applied to be the Celtics’ waterboy

  • http://thesportsdiaryonline.blogspot.com Roy

I just love it when Shaq makes comments like that… :D

  • niQ

    LOL wow shaq

  • ciolkstar

Jukai wins the award for most played out and inexcuseable use of “TMacs fault”. That joke is SO tired.

  • http://slamonline.com Josh D

scary, i was just doing homework Isaac Newton

  • http://slamonline.com Josh D

scary, i was just doing homework on Isaac Newton

  • Tuvan

IT WAS NOT T-MAC’S FAULT!!!! It was barnes’ fault…what kind of a pick is that? seriosuly

  • Jess

I think that was def. an ejection. I like Shaq, but that was dirty. I knew as soon as I saw Stuckey going to the basket and only Shaq was there, you could see it coming. He went acress his body with both arms, and there was a def, swinging motion as well…terrible foul – and how bad did it make Porter look when Shaq swatted his arm away? That looks terrible on your coach – didnt like that at all.

  • that dude

Intentional or not it was stupid and dangerous. Stuckey was already in the air. Shaq should have known better. You ain’t Josh Smith, you’re not going to get high enough to block that shot once Stuckey left his feet.

  • ab_40

shaq thought he was back in 94 blocking folks two handed… if he wanted to injure stuckey the poor kid would not walk in about a year

  • http://AllAbout-Penis-Enlargement.com Jukai

It’s T-Mac’s fault that every ciolkstar comment sucks

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

It was a hard play…what we call around the water coolers as a ‘playoff foul’…but the Suns have been playing with this kind of dogged aggressiveness to start the season and have really shed the soft offense only tag that they’ve had for the D’Antoni era… I’m cool with it. When we get Matt Barnes back it’s going to be RAW..

  • Westy00

Hard foul, no doubt. Lucky that was Rasheed nearby. If it was Ben Wallace, he’d have shoved Shaq like he did Artest and all hell would have broken loose.

  • http://sjsu.edu davidR

watched play video again, and joe @ 10:58 is right. amare mustve thought sheed was trying to post up (about 10 feet from the basket), and tried to front him. instead he ends up helping sheed screen grant hill. great job on defense amare. shaq wouldnt have had to rotate if you stayed in the right place

  • Anton

    The Big Isaac Newton

  • Anton

Hey, Kobe, tell me how my gravity tastes

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

    The Big Patch Adams.,..

  • tealish

The best part of this whole thing was watching Terry Porter pulling at Shaq’s waistband (no homo).

  • Tommy Vercetti

Shaq needs to take it easy. Right now he is making it rain in Stern’s office.

  • chintao

Shaq continually reveals his ignorance in new fields of knowledge. Today, it’s physics. “… the smaller object is going to fall much harder at the same rate of speed.” Uh, no. Actually, Shaq, it’s the opposite….
