The Post Up: Brandon Roy With The Thriller

    An unbelievable finish in Portland.

    by Holly MacKenzie

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. I was getting ready to fall asleep last night just like Charles and then the Rockets/Blazers went and made things pretty interesting. Wow again, for emphasis. I hope you guys all got to watch that game. My goodness. First, B. Roy hitting that jumper with 1.9 left? I didn’t think there was any way that shot would sail through the net, but of course it does.

Next play, with Yao drawing the foul on Roy and still hitting the basket? That was amazing. And, as Russ said to me last night, HOW can this guy be such a great free throw Yes, Holly's in love.shooter? It does sort of defy logic. His hands are huge (they have to be, right?), he is about 18 feet tall (thanks, Russ), and yet, he looks so comfortable at the line it’s like he is sitting down to eat dinner. Dinner with 0.8 tenths of a second left on the clock.

The final shot by Roy was why I feel it is impossible for anyone to not fall in love with this game when given the opportunity to witness a play like that. Catching, rising, releasing, a high-arcing shot from about 30-feet away, the ball doesn’t even shake the net. Unbelievable. How he managed to get the shot off in time still boggles my mind when they show the replays.

This was a fantastic game and a great win for a Portland team that is still without Greg Oden. Great effort from the Rockets as well. They are a handful.

The Philadelphia/Orlando game almost put me to sleep, to be honest. Charles, Kenny and Ernie were wonderful as always, but someone needed to remind Ernie to include Kenny’s stint as a SLAM columnist on his Neat-o Stat of the Night. The “Gone Fishing” photo was great and I love Charles getting cranky and railing on teams for “bad team defense”.

So, it is finally Friday and we’ve got another big weekend of games. Marcel will have you covered with Worthy of Your Attention later on today. I am so unbelievably excited to sleep in on Sunday, I cannot even express it with words. Saturday I’ve got football playoffs to watch and I’m wishing my boy Jonathan big things in his game. Huge things, actually. It’s going to be great. Everyone enjoy your weekend and meet me back here Monday morning, at 9 a.m. sharp!

    Portland 101 Houston 99

In what was not only the game of the night, Brandon Roy and Yao Ming supplied the shots for what was one of the craziest finishes this league has seen in recent history. With the score being close throughout, the Blazers began to pull away in the fourth quarter, going up by as many as 10 points. Thanks to a big fourth quarter from Tracy McGrady, the Rockets caught up to them and then things got interesting First, Brandon Roy hit a jumper with 1.9 seconds left to give Portland a 98-96 lead and put them in a position to come away with the game. Then, on Houston’s final possession of the game, Yao drew a foul on Roy and made the shot, to get the three-point play opportunity. He hit the free throw to put the Rockets up one, 99-98 with 0.8 on the clock. Eight tenths of a second was all Roy needed as Steve Blake inbounded the ball to him from 30-feet out and he was able to catch and shoot his way into earning the victory for Portland. Roy finished with 17 points while shooting only 6-18 on the night as LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 27 points and 9 rebounds, Rudy Fernandez scored 15 points and Travis Outlaw had 14 points and 13 rebounds. McGrady had 30 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the Rockets while Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks each scored 14 points and Yao added 13 points in the loss.

    Orlando 98 Philadelphia 88

Despite Dwight Howard scoring only 2 points in the first half and spending most of the opening 24 minutes on the bench thanks to foul trouble, the Magic were able to hold off the Sixers to grab a 98-88 victory. With Howard on the bench, Philadelphia tried to take advantage, but still trailed 54-43 at the half. In the third, with Howard back in the middle, the Magic got things rolling and went up by as many as 23 points, before surrendering most of that lead in the final quarter when they were unable to make free throws down the stretch. Luckily, the large lead gave them enough leeway to hang on for the win. With Howard held to 14 points and only 8 rebounds, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu each scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Jameer Nelson added 16 points and 9 assists. Thaddeus Young scored 19 points for the Sixers as Andre Iguodala finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists, Samuel Dalembert scored 10 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and Andre Miller added 15.

Thanks for the recaps as always Holly.

thanks for the thanks, Ken ;)

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 9:31 am
That shot was CASH. The .8 was kinda long but it was in the Rose Garden so thats expected but…wow pretty much captures it. And yeah, TMac is definitely done.

    • Simon S.Y Lawy Posted: Nov.7 at 9:35 am
Yes, he can…, btw, what’s going on with philiy?

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 9:39 am
As Rick James would say, Brandon Roy is COOOLDBLOOODED!

    • Michael Posted: Nov.7 at 9:40 am
when oh when will dwight learn to shoot free throws like yao? the boy is just throwing the ball at the rim and hoping at this point

    • Peter Robert Casey Posted: Nov.7 at 9:41 am
“The final shot by Roy was why I feel it is impossible for anyone to not fall in love with this game when given the opportunity to witness a play like that. Catching, rising, releasing, a high-arcing shot from about 30-feet away, the ball doesn’t even shake the net.” You captured it all with this right here.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 9:44 am
      I’ve got A.I. for 25 and 6 tonight.

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 9:45 am
I expect about three games a week to come down to shots like this in the West this year. When the Celtics play the Bobcats….not so much.

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 9:46 am
A.I.s getting at least 30. Bare minimum.

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 9:51 am
Aaron Brooks maybe slowly playing his way into the 6th man of the year award conversation. Maybe.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 9:55 am
Damn, I went to sleep early last night. Figures. Iverson is going to get 18/13/5 steals.

    • Bryan Posted: Nov.7 at 9:58 am
      Iverson 4 mvp.

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 9:59 am
If Iverson gets 13 assists in his first game I’ll buy a Pistons jersey and post a pic of me wearing it on SKO for ya Tad.

    • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Nov.7 at 10:04 am
Thanks, Peter! :) I am so excited to see Iverson tonight as well. Tad, you’ve gotta pull out the late nights on Thursday. The TNT boys were fantastic as well!

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 10:07 am
      @Tad:Or maybe you meant 13 rebounds? …turnovers?

    • CoolWhip416 Posted: Nov.7 at 10:09 am
I am going to cry. I was watching the game last night and at halftime decided to go to bed. I NEVER go to bed that early.
      :(
      Canadian Pig Vomit

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 10:10 am
Only way Allen is getting 13 assists is if he doesn’t shoot the ball and that ain’t happenin’.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 10:17 am
Ya’ll are mistaken. Iverson does not know all of the plays yet (obviously) and will look to pass and get his new teammates to trust in him. Also, Detroit is a veteran squad who spreads the wealth. But whatever, we will still get the W.

    • Bryan Posted: Nov.7 at 10:23 am
      He’s not getting 13 assists. I’d say 28 and 7

    • Tom Posted: Nov.7 at 10:25 am
Iverson is gonna make an extra effort to try to fit into the system and get everyone involved, but at the same time the rest of the team is gonna look for him to score, because well, he’s AI….So i think that confusion is gonna cause a few more turnover’s and missed shots than usual. Once they get comfortable with eachother though, like on sunday against the celts hopefully, they will be deadly.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 10:28 am
Guys, they are playing the NETS!! The Pistons have favorable matchups all over the court. Devin Harris is just as fast as Iverson, so AI will get double-digit assists tonight.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 10:29 am
Let me clear up my last sentence: because Devin has the speed to stay with AI, Ivy will look to get his teammates involved.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 10:30 am
Also, Detroit WILL be getting a W tonight, so I could care less if i’m wrong but I don’t feel like I will be.

    • Nguni Posted: Nov.7 at 10:36 am
recap was good. slept at half time. Orlando Philly game was so boooring! IVY for prez!

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 10:40 am
So can Detroit reach the Finals with AI?

    • Bryan Posted: Nov.7 at 10:44 am
      Yes.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 10:46 am
Tariq: Whats good my man? I can’t answer that question until I see Detroit play with Ivy for about 15 or so games. I can tell you that I don’t see them doing any worse than they would have would Chauncey, so I like their chances.

    • BETCATS Posted: Nov.7 at 11:12 am
That Portland-Rockets game was bonkers. I seen the highlights.

    • BETCATS Posted: Nov.7 at 11:17 am
BETstradumus predicts Iverson will have 30 points 8 assists 4 steals 3 rebounds tonight

    • BETCATS Posted: Nov.7 at 11:18 am
also, Rudy Ferandez for ROY is a bandwagon i am jumping on

    • riggs Posted: Nov.7 at 11:21 am
ivy for 20 and 4 tonight

    • BETCATS Posted: Nov.7 at 11:26 am
BETstradumus also predicts Billups to go for 20 points 6 assists 5 steals and between 3-7 rebounds tonight

    • BETCATS Posted: Nov.7 at 11:28 am
BETstradumus will now go to Spainish 1

    • Will Lee Posted: Nov.7 at 11:39 am
Thats why Tmac is not Kobe. I don’t even know why he was so lazy on the last play. HE could have cover up Roy a little better. Even Artest got there earlier than he did and its his man!!! without any hard screen!!!! Even Tmac scored 30 he lost this one for the Rockets.

    • RV Posted: Nov.7 at 11:52 am
B long, at this rate, Brooks is going to be starting over Skip…Skip’s the one who shoots like he’s 18 feet tall..The part that pisses me off the most is he KNOWS whats wrong with his shot. Last night he “fixed” it like he does every 5 games by giving it more archby not crossing his release arm too much…he’ll be back to crap next game.

    • RV Posted: Nov.7 at 11:55 am
and the game was nuts, the rockets didn’t deserve to win, its like they were happy just keeping it close…Portland wanted it more..the worst part is the clock stopped at 0.8 seconds only because Yao was fouled, othwerise time runs out and they go to double ot… Yao being more than money at FT line reinforces the argument he should be allowed to shoot more js!!!

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 11:55 am
I can’t wait for the inevitable Pistons-Celtics ECF. Those should be “bananas,” as Stuart Scott would faux-ebonically say. I mean, KG vs Ivy in a Conference Finals? I only hope we also get a Laker-Hornet WCF too.

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 11:56 am
Iverson gets 23 and 7 tonight.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 12:01 pm
      Co-sign Tariq.

    • da man Posted: Nov.7 at 12:04 pm
why did the sixers game bore you because they actualy played some defense and didnt just punk out and let the other team score whenever they feel like!

    • Allenp Posted: Nov.7 at 12:05 pm
I just hope Iverson looks semi-comfortable tonight. I’ve started playing with the Piston on 2K9 and this team has the potential to do some damage particularly if they get McDyess back. His game meshs perfectly with Iverson’s, as does Rasheed’s.

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 12:07 pm
      Allenp: Good point regading Dice.

    • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Nov.7 at 12:07 pm
      where oh where is everyone?

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 12:10 pm
      Holly:
betcats went to Spanish class, that’s all I know! And Ryan is probably churning butter or milking bulls or something. Someone should tell him you only milk cows.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 12:12 pm
McDyess is a veteran and can pretty much mesh his game into any offense, except maybe a running team. He is a great pick-and-pop player and and can also roll to the basket. He is almost money from 14-18 feet and still defends and rebounds well. I do hope Detroit can get him back.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 12:13 pm
School must be done for Tariq. Hi Holly.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 12:22 pm
Inevitable Boston-Detroit ECF matchup??? Mr. James might have something to say about that… Iverson gets 30 and 7 assists.

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 12:28 pm
namik: True, but I doubt it.

    • RV Posted: Nov.7 at 12:35 pm
did anyone see Artest celebrate after Yao’s shot, he’s got the have the most awkward celebratory jumps ever, against Dallas he looked like he was having a seizure..

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 12:37 pm
For the Cavs to make it to the ECF, LeBron is going to have to hit a 3pointer at some point in the first two rounds and so far he has given me zero hope that he’ll be able to do that.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 12:40 pm
B, the season is 5 games old.

    • Don Posted: Nov.7 at 12:45 pm
Roy’s shot had to be one of the all time memorable in Blazer history. Fernandez=ROY.

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 12:46 pm
I really think LeBron will need a vastly improved team to make it to the Finals again. Mo Williams + assorted pre-schoolers aren’t enough.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 12:46 pm
Tariq you’re giving this team too much importance. Seriously, Iverson adds a little more offense, a little less efficiency and a possibility for “run and gun” offense. They tried that with Flip and it didn’t work out too well for them. Plus, we’re talking about LeBron. I wouldn’t pick any team over them in a 7 game series this year. Maybe the Lakers, for sentimental reasons, but if the Lakers meet the Cavs in the Finals, we are seriously F’ed. I really don’t see how this changes them all that much except for bringing some star power in.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 12:48 pm
B.Long, he’s done fine without it for the past 3 years. I really don’t think its that big of an issue when you can out-quick, out-muscle and out jump anyone in the L. I’m pretty sure that they can make the Finals this year if they remain healthy.

    • Boing Dynasty Posted: Nov.7 at 12:51 pm
I turned off the TV with 9 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. Then a funny feeling came over me, i woke up, went downstairs and turned the TV back on with 4 minutes to go in the 4th. I’m nice like that.

    • Tariq al Haydar Posted: Nov.7 at 12:52 pm
      namik:
They way I look at Detroit is this: They were stagnant. It seemed like they didn’t want to play at times last year. I always thought they had a formidable squad, but required a swift kick in the scrota. They lacked hunger. Iverson is hungry. Does this guarantee success? Of course not, but I’m intrigued.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 12:54 pm
Namik: Seriously? You don’t see how this improves or changes Detroit? I’m sorry, but was teh 2001 Philly a run-and-gun team? Are you telling me it’s completely impossible for AI to commit to a team concept knowing that a ring could be in his near future? Can you also not see how Iverson gives Detroit that one x-factor they haven’t had in the playoffs when their offense goes stagnant and they need a spark offensively? Sheed, Rip, and Tay can take a step back and let Iverson get his and are more than willing to do so. They’ve only done it for the last four years for each other. Can we let them play some damn games before saying the change won’t work??

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 12:59 pm
No Tad, I can see it, but like someone said above, if AI really commits to the team concept then he’d be pretty much like Billups. And it’s not 2001, and he’s not going to rip the L like he did. BUT I wish it works out for him, as long as its not on the Lakers expense and wish your team all the best. I was just stating my opinion and not trying to stir some sh*t by saying ridiculous stuff.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:03 pm
Tariq, I understand that. But the way I look at it, Boston was super motivated last year, managed to somehow make Bron shoot 17% for the first 2 games and it still went to 7 games. In fact I think LeBron only had 2 good games in that series and the last one was the duel that he lost to PP. In short, Boston played some great D and barely beat Cleveland. Detroit adding Iverson is great, but its not going to help them stop LeBron. And the crazy thing about LeBron is that he manages to learn from his failures VERY quickly, and thats why I really think that this year Cleveland can take it. Atleast to the Finals. It’s still a 3 team race though like the past couple of years.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:07 pm
Sorry namik, I wasn’t trying to go at you, i’m just perturbed by some of the ridiculous statements i’ve read when he hasn’t even had 1 game to prove himself. Also, even if Iverson stunted his game into a team concept, he would still be completely different than what Billups offered because he can explode for offensive runs by himself at any moment. Just like Bron, KB, Pierce, Wade, Amare, etc.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:09 pm
Also Namik, Detroit can limit Bron on the offensive end, trust me. Iverson would have nothing at all to do with covering LeBron.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:10 pm
Actually, Cleveland would need to worry more about Detroit being much more explosive offensively and trying to keep up with us.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:10 pm
Tad, because of what happened in 2004, I can never wish your team well. But I understand your excitement and as a basketball fan, hope we get to see some good basketball from this team.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:11 pm
Oh Tad, now you’re just talking crazy. I’m talking about the 1:09 comment. We’ll see about the next one.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:12 pm
Because we beat a selfish Lakers team? That’s fine, I hate the Lakers just the same. No love lost.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:14 pm
Talking crazy?? Detroit is a very good defensive team for 5 years and continues to be one. If you want to bring up the 30 straight points Bron scored while Larry Brown sat back and refused to double him, go ahead. Curry is not that damn stubborn.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:14 pm
That “series” scarred me for life. Good god…

    • Boing Dynasty Posted: Nov.7 at 1:14 pm
TAD,”he can explode for offensive runs by himself at any moment. Just like Bron, KB, Pierce, Wade, Amare, etc.”- No, he cant.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:14 pm
Ugh…sorry, hijacked this thread. Carry on people. Its Friday so i’m going to find my happy place.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:15 pm
Again, we will see. No doubting your team defense, but if they do happen to meet, I will bet you right now that Cleveland will win.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 1:22 pm
The Cavs will systematically be ass-pounded by the Pistons if they meet in the playoffs, especially if they re-sign Dyess.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:27 pm
This coming from the guy who said the Cavs(?) would lose to the Hornets in the Finals THIS YEAR. Ok.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 1:31 pm
The Cavs? Where’d you read that, namik? If it was on our blog, I picked the Hornets over the Celts, and that was written before the Iverson deal.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:36 pm
Wasn’t sure-reason for the (?). All I want to ask is, how many times have people said “Oh man, LeBron is playing with a bunch of middle schoolers and they won’t get anywhere against ——-” and actually been right? The answer is once. Against the Spurs. That’s it. I’m not a fan, but counting him out is just stupid given recent evidence of what he and his teammates can do. Sure he scored 30 straight points, but they also won 5 other games where he didn’t and his teammates actually played like NBA players. Same thing happened last year. So what exactly has changed this year?

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:36 pm
Namik: I will take that bet ten-fold. You tell me what exactly the bet would be. Matter of fact, I don’t even want anything from you if I lose. However, I will honor whatever bet on my end.

    • Joel O's Posted: Nov.7 at 1:37 pm
Man. Rudy Fernandez’ floater is a thing of beauty. What a game.

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:38 pm
Namik: Ok, but isn’t it the same thing to count Detroit out with Iverson?

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:40 pm
Its on Tad. I don’t want anything either, just a whimsical wager it shall be. Also, I’m just picking the Cavs, not counting anyone out. It’ll be a good ass series either way.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:42 pm
Oh and I was watching “coming for the #1 spot” last night and wanted to ask Eboy how Mike B was doing? Living up to the hype or not? Will he? Or is it too soon to tell/ask?

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 1:45 pm
Joel: Co-sign and good to see you.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 1:49 pm
Beasley has all the tools to be a dominant 4. He needs the mindset to go with the skill level though. He’s only 19, so hopefully in time, he’ll zero in on what he needs to do to be recognized. His stroke is pure from 12 to 20 feet, and his off the dribble game is nice too, the thing that has impressed me more than anything else is his court vision, yes court vision. He finds open men with ease and isn’t afraid to make the extra pass. his rebounding is not terrible either, he just get’s beat periodically by bigger dudes. Like TAD has said though, it’s only been 4 games.

    • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Nov.7 at 1:50 pm
Tad, I’m LOVING your love for this trade. Ivy makes me just as happy. Man I’m jacked to watch him play tonight. Cannot wait. Namik, how was “#1 spot”?

    • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Nov.7 at 1:51 pm
He’s only 19. Good Lord, it makes me crazy when I realize I’m three or four years older than these guys when I see them hanging out in the locker room pre or postgame Insane how young they all are. I couldn’t even imagine being in the L at that age.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 1:54 pm
Holly, I don’t think some of these kids can really wrap their heads around it either.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:54 pm
Thanks Eboy. By mindset do you mean confidence or better shot selection? Its a really good documentary. Y’all should watch it if you haven’t.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 1:57 pm
Holly I’m pretty sure you’d love it. After all the articles and stories about the high school scene, there are no startling revelations as such, but the fact that 8 players get about 5-10 mins each and then they actually show the game itself makes it great. Mike Beasley saying “Man you ugly as sh*t Donte!” before blowing past him for an up and under was a personal favorite.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.7 at 1:58 pm
namik, neither. He needs some inner fire (KG, Iverson type take no prisoners game) more than anything. Comparing him to the #1 pick, I think Derrick Rose has it, being able to pick up his game to meet the challenge each game and each opponet brings. His shot selection has been fine and I think he’s confident enough, especially not having to be “the Man” with Wade there. He just seems a little timid at times, and if he can get past that, he’s going to be the proverbial “handful” every night. BTW, I’m waiting on my copy of the DVD to arrive from the hands of Lang Whitaker from being one of the contest winners a couple of weeks ago. I’m excited for it.

    • B. Long Posted: Nov.7 at 2:02 pm
I was being sarcastic earlier Tad. I know LeBron has made a big three before, I just can’t remember it.

    • Holly MacKenzie Posted: Nov.7 at 2:02 pm
Ahh, Namik. Sounds like great stuff. I am just itching to see the Bron documentary that was reviewed here in September.

    • namik Posted: Nov.7 at 2:09 pm
Holly its called “More than a game” I think. Yeah for real when is that coming out?? Eboy, that was a common complaint about him in HS and college but I guess his talent was enough to dominate without it. The NBA is obviously another level, but as the season goes on I think he will assert himself more. I really want to see this kid do well. BTW Jerryd Bayless has BOOST!

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.7 at 2:09 pm
Holly: I’m excited but also a bit nervous. I know it will take 10-15 games for this new look team to find a rythym since the core was together for basically 4 seasons and a training camp. With Stuckey and Ivy, I don’t think i’ll see the effect of Billups missing as I will see the effect of McDyess no longer bringing his steady hand off the bench. Of course if we re-sign him, then very little worries. Oh, and Will Bynum is good. How he didn’t stick in the NBA earlier, I have no idea?

Dinner with .8 tenths of a second on the clock. I love it.

I was jacked to see Will on the Pistons roster. To be honest I had forgotten about him. Nice guy, gave me a big smile and what’s up on his way to the bus. He’s one ripped guy on the court, too. He’s played well for your guys in the past few games when they needed him, especially that game in NO. I’m happy he may have found his home in the L.

I rembember Will when he was running on that Georgia Tech squad that went deep in the NCAA Tourney. I always thought he would be a good NBA player. Late start I guess.

I’m happy he has “made” it, Tad. I love the guys who have had to ball all over to find their way. Hello, Stephen Jackson. Guess I didn’t need to remind anyone of this fact. MAN, I LOVE THIS GAME.

They never should have changed the slogan from ‘I love this game’. Stupid Roeckts. Oh well…. We beat the Clippers!

      101 as well. :)

look for many red hot finishes from the money man, B.Roy

what an incredible way for roy to bounce back from a poor outing that night to nail the game winner. fernandez is looking incredible, just completely unfazed in the face of artest’s defense. an underhand finger-rolled floater over an outstretched yao? easy. he is looking like a steal…when will phoenix learn to keep its draft picks? imagine rondo as a backup to nash and fernandez in grant hill’s place. an athletic, creative guard with the ability to put the ball to the floor and nail the open shot. oh well
