Tonight, ‘Melo Will Shoot and Score for Obama
I know I didn’t include the Nuggets/Warriors game in today’s edition of ‘Worthy of Your Attention‘, and now I feel like an idiot. So, I’ll make up for it by giving the contest its own post.
The Nuggets will be playing their first game since Allen Iverson was traded to Detroit for Chauncey Billups, but all eyes will be on star forward Carmelo Anthony and his attempt to honor President Barack Obama.
From the Denver Post:
At the Nuggets’ shootaround, there was a post-election buzz. Carmelo Anthony smiled and said, “I’m going to try to score 44 tonight,” in honor of president-elect Barack Obama, who was elected Tuesday as America’s 44th president.
Not sure how serious Anthony was when he said this, but either way, it’s pretty cool. Needless to say, you’d be a fool to miss out on this. Tip off is 10:30 EST.
