Which Team Will Get Their Hands on McDyess?

Though most expect him to return to the Pistons after the mandatory 30-day waiting period, the Celtics, Spurs, and Cavs are all reportedly interested in the vet.

The Cavs. Cos they need more mediocrity

He is going back to Detroit. Unless KG is in his ear and convinces him to go there.

Although I would like my Cavs to get him in to replace Joe Smith, I think he’s going back to Detroit.

either of those 4 teams has chances at a ring.

    • Eboy Posted: Nov.6 at 10:36 am
      Couldn’t he help the Lakers?

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.6 at 10:58 am
The Lakers are a dynasty. Haven’t you been paying attention?

    • thesubwayconnection Posted: Nov.6 at 11:23 am
I don’t know if he could, Eboy. There’s not a ton of minutes there. I think the team he helps most outside of Detroit is the Celtics. I could see that being a very good fit, although it takes minutes away from Big Baby. Powe’s earned his spot.

McDyess would fit perfectly with the Spurs becuase they need a post man and he has a good defensive game and team first attitude

    • TADOne Posted: Nov.6 at 11:27 am
I fail to see where McDyess fits on the Celtics? Garnett, Perkins, Powe, Big Baby, and then Dyess? Sorry, but he would expect and deserve more minutes.

McDyess to cleveland would be a good fit. Yeah it would give JJ Hickson like zero minutes but he’s 19 and the cavs have time for him.we need immediate inpact and thats Antonio MyDyess. He’s been there before and he is what the Cavs lost when we traded Joe Smith

I know it’s not gonna happen, but I’d like to see my Hawks at least make a run at him…

    • underdog Posted: Nov.6 at 11:56 am
      Hope, he returns to Motown.

    • Carl Posted: Nov.6 at 12:15 pm
I would definitely say Detroit, but weirder things have happened. If any other team has a chance to pick him up it has to be Boston…

    • Young Chris MP3 Posted: Nov.6 at 12:20 pm
      Celtics!

    • Drew Posted: Nov.6 at 12:58 pm
If there is so much interest in McDyess, why can’t the Nuggets trade him rather than buying him out? I know that the NBA trading rules for swapping salary are difficult, but can’t they swing some deal?

    • jbn74sb Posted: Nov.6 at 1:01 pm
Yes, eboy, he could. We’ve got an open roster spot for him, and could always cut Mbenga is necessary.

    • Holy Baller Posted: Nov.6 at 1:08 pm
That’s the last thing the Cavs need, another old, way-past-his-prime post player

    • Holy Baller Posted: Nov.6 at 1:08 pm
Although he’s much better offensively than the rest of their post players except maybe Big Z

    • kev Posted: Nov.6 at 1:16 pm
      bring him in cavs!!!

    • kev Posted: Nov.6 at 1:17 pm
nice scoring punch off the bench or start him next to z since ben hurts the starting offense.

    • Adam Posted: Nov.6 at 3:07 pm
      He’ll be back in detroit

    • NBA-JERSEY-KING Posted: Nov.6 at 3:53 pm
Portland - they could really use his leadership for Oden and Aldridge.

    • witness Posted: Nov.6 at 4:02 pm
@ NBA-JERSEY-KING: he wants to win now. i say hes likely to go back to motown. but he would fit well with dwight howard. dont you think?

    • Moose Posted: Nov.6 at 4:20 pm
I’d like him over here, but I really don’t see a spot for him with Powe doing all that he’s been doing (http://hibachi20.blogspot.com/) and with Davis, Perk and Garnett. Scallie too, I guess. I like him, but I don’t think we have a spot.

    • NBA-JERSEY-KING Posted: Nov.6 at 11:12 pm
yeah Howard with McDyess along side him would be a good fit

    • jose Posted: Nov.6 at 11:23 pm
he’s in the 6′10″ area aint he.Miami needs tallness

    • Anton Posted: Nov.7 at 2:25 am
So who else will watch every single of the remaining 78 Pistons games this season?
      I know I am.

    • jay Posted: Nov.7 at 8:27 am
      the thunder.

    • Young Chris MP3 Posted: Nov.7 at 9:55 am
If the Celtics pick him up he can play the PJ Brown role this year, a little less physically (and not so much the enforcer), but with more offensive production.
