Worthy of Your Attention

by Marcel Mutoni

No time for small talk; straight to the games you need in your life this weekend…

Pistons @ Lakers: Kwame returneth to the City of Angels, as a starter no less. Cake for everyone!

(I’m sure the fans will give Brown a nice hand as they recall all of the beautiful moments he provided for them as a Laker.)

Warriors @ Clippers: It would be perfectly understandable if they canceled the game, and just gave everyone some time to weep softly.

New Orleans @ Houston
: After getting off to a blazing start, the Hornets have crashed back to Earth. They’ll be looking to right the ship in Houston, which isn’t a bad place to start. The Rockets will be playing the second of a tough back-to-back.

Heat at Raptors: I only point this one out because, if you happen to live in Ontario (where, for the uninitiated, the Raptors practice their trade), the game might not be visible to you unless you’ve purchase a ticket.

For you see, the endlessly maddening cat fight between Canadian TV networks for the rights to show NBA games trudges forward. Fun.

Enjoy the games everyone.

Anton: I agree with you, however, iverson has had a much smoother transition into the detroit offense than billups into denver. Billups hasn’t been putting up consistent high numbers and has low %s, iverson on the other hand is scoring 20 ppg, and 5 asst in Detroit. You might argue that iverson just got lucky these first games, but u can’t argue that billups is adapting well.

You guys go ahead and get your collective panties up in a bunch, Ima watch me some ball. PS: I was one of the few people here who actually thought that the trade benefitted detroit more than denver, and was genuinely excited for the pistons,so I took a little solace out of this game. But of course since it happened to the lakers, OHMYGODWHATAMIGOINGTODOOOOO

Never thought that with 4 sports channels (Sportsnet, TSN, The Score and Raptors TV) would I miss a regular season Raptors game but alas … the time has come.

How the fu*k do the Rockets lose to a team like the Spurs after being up 14 in the 4th? Then go around and beat the Hornets by double digits the next night? wth….!!
