Boozer Out At Least 1 Month
Carlos Boozer’s strained quad kept him out of action for over a month already, so what’s another month on top of that? Boozer, who missed 21 of the Jazz’s 33 games this season, is scheduled to undergo surgery Jan. 9. This means Boozer will be targeting a mid-February return.
From the Salt Lake Tribune:
Utah Jazz power forward Carlos Boozer will undergo surgery, probably next week, and will be sidelined for at least a month, Vice President of Basketball Operations Kevin O’Connor said Tuesday afternoon.
Injuries have not been kind to the Jazz this season. Only C.J. Miles has played every game (and started each time as well). The team luckily has a very capable backup in Paul “The Paperboy” Millsap to handle the load while Boozer’s gone. But the Jazz now need to be a bit more concerned about Phoenix gaining ground in another tight Western Conf. Playoff race.
