    Video: Amare’s Oscar-Worthy Flop

Shaq must’ve been sick to his stomach after watching his understudy flop like this.

    • Ryan Jones Posted: Dec.11 at 2:46 pm
Listen, I LOVE Derek Fisher, but my man has been an epic flopper much of his career. He had this sh*t coming.

    • Jukai Posted: Dec.11 at 2:54 pm
So, shouldn’t the NBA be fining Amare right now? I’d fine him several million after that.

    • Ryne Nelson Posted: Dec.11 at 2:55 pm
Several mil? Not that much, gut I could definitely see the League fining STAT. This is flopping on another level.

    • vmcb Posted: Dec.11 at 2:58 pm
      hilarity

    • Tom Posted: Dec.11 at 2:59 pm
pure comedy. reminds of those tumblers in those old silent movies.

    • JE Posted: Dec.11 at 2:59 pm
      haha, that’s pretty funny.

    • BothTeamsPlayedHard Posted: Dec.11 at 3:08 pm
He did that against the Pacers too. Very Buster Keaton indeed.

    • Wongtouski Posted: Dec.11 at 3:08 pm
Man I love STAT but come on play like a man lol…….this flop and that one early against the Pacers are just ridiculous (but funny)

    • Bigi Posted: Dec.11 at 3:15 pm
      I blame Divac…

    • thesubwayconnection Posted: Dec.11 at 3:15 pm
Amanu Stoudamire. You heard it here first. And he can’t be Standing Tall And Talented if he’s always falling down.

    • Mo Charlo Posted: Dec.11 at 3:25 pm
Shaq is Amare’s understudy these days.

    • [...] Fortunately, Amare can hopefully deflect criticism away from me today with his even more reprehensible behavior (first video…via Slam). Seriously, flopping is a cancer, and although this between whistle stuff isn’t nearly as damaging to the sport as the Argentinian-endorsed nonsense of Nocioni, Varejao and the like, it’s still bothersome. [...]

    • windowlicker_son Posted: Dec.11 at 3:32 pm
That’s really bad… Amare seems like far to intense of a player to pull some BS like that. Is this worse than this (similar) Boom Dizzle flop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTdERYOtqsg

    • Tarzan Cooper Posted: Dec.11 at 3:34 pm
dfish and kobe are some of the worst floppers in the league. kobe esp. on offense, remember the flying elbow “follow through”?

    • Kas Posted: Dec.11 at 3:39 pm
A’ma’r'es career is turning into a flop pretty soon. all that talent, averages 3 rpg for his career, talking bout wantin to be the man without showing desire to improve. he needs to get a real job and leave basketball to basketball players.

    • matt Posted: Dec.11 at 3:51 pm
did he went to acting school over the summer to improve his skills?

    • Russ Bengtson Posted: Dec.11 at 3:57 pm
Obviously Derek Fisher should look into a new career demolishing buildings with his bare hands and stopping runaway locomotives.

    • MSkittle Posted: Dec.11 at 4:20 pm
      He looked like Mr. Perfect

    • tealish Posted: Dec.11 at 4:21 pm
Sigh. That was pathetic. Funny, but pathetic all the same.

    • EC Posted: Dec.11 at 4:22 pm
      Manu is somewhere smiling

    • Mike Posted: Dec.11 at 4:23 pm
That was no flop. No way.

    • Jess Posted: Dec.11 at 4:23 pm
      HAHAHA

    • Kieran Posted: Dec.11 at 4:26 pm
wow you must be short on news today

    • Todd Spehr Posted: Dec.11 at 4:28 pm
Someone mentioned it earlier (and it may be irrelevant point in this particular thread) but Fisher flops on a Euro-ish level. He’s pretty darn good…

    • Gord Posted: Dec.11 at 4:51 pm
The flop when Travis Diener “pushed” him was 100x better…if only because it was Travis Diener

    • Anton Posted: Dec.11 at 5:05 pm
I was expecting Sasha to convulse in pain on the bench

    • tinchek Posted: Dec.11 at 5:10 pm
      the man.the legend.

    • Moose Posted: Dec.11 at 5:26 pm
That wasn’t a frickin’ flop! Yeah, he can dunk on everyone and throw their shot ten rows into the stands, but bump into a point guard who is eight inches shorter? How can you expect him NOT to fall down???

    • Amanda Posted: Dec.11 at 5:33 pm
Moose, thats exactly what I was going to say!
And if I was Shaq, I would’ve given him a good, hard smack to the head.

    • Moose Posted: Dec.11 at 5:37 pm
Haha, thanks, Amanda. And I’m afraid your advice wouldn’t work out for PHO . . . a good, hard smack to the head from Shaq must be like getting hit with a cannonball at full speed. I think they want to keep STAT in their lineup, no? :)

    • KURUPTED Posted: Dec.11 at 5:41 pm
Come on Derek fisher is the biggest flopper. I can find 1000 videos where he flops. Who understand you guys. A couple of years ago they a laker player fouled the crap out of barry during the playoffs and the reffs didn’t call it because he didn’t sell it. Every espn analysis was saying it was barry’s fault for not selling it. Now Stoudamire sells it and gets critized for it. Fish threw pushed him so he wanted to let the refs see what he was doing.

    • GGG Posted: Dec.11 at 6:35 pm
      What goes around comes around….

    • j-smoov 5 Posted: Dec.11 at 6:43 pm
      HAHAHA. :D

    • KobeWearsThreeRings Posted: Dec.11 at 7:10 pm
kurupted: watch an nba game, there are shoves and pats like that after every shot. its a pretty ridiculous call, but the refs probably only saw the second half of the fall and not the high-larity of the slip on the banana moment. and barry should have sold it, but any team with bruce bowen on it shouldnt get those calls anyway. you got to keep the cheating even.

    • Static Posted: Dec.11 at 7:26 pm
d@mn…no wonder Fisher drains from three, that left hand is frickin awesome…or STAT is the new scarecrow

    • Darksaber Posted: Dec.11 at 8:37 pm
What the hell is up with Goggles this season. He did the same thing in his 47 Point Pacer game last month, and to another lil Guard none the less.. This is shamefull behavior for such a powerdunker.

    • Jacob Posted: Dec.11 at 9:44 pm
      hahahaha go amare!

    • chintao Posted: Dec.11 at 10:13 pm
The behavior is reprehensible, but you have to admire the skill in the execution. Co-sign BothTeamsPlayedHard re: Buster Keaton

    • K3v1n Posted: Dec.11 at 11:12 pm
Thats was funny and pathetic…….Amare will never be “The guy”.He’ll always be a sidekick.

    • shaya Posted: Dec.11 at 11:17 pm
Honestly though how often do you see the Suns flopping? I think after all the Spurs losses they are allowed a few here and there.

    • Roy Posted: Dec.11 at 11:25 pm
Stat must be watching a lot of Vlade Divac’s flop highlights…. :D

    • Simon S.Y Lawy Posted: Dec.11 at 11:34 pm
      that’s pretty funny…

    • Young Chris MP3 Posted: Dec.12 at 12:07 am
Amare on Fisher has nothing on Baron on Okur. We need to upload that video.

    • dfrance83 Posted: Dec.12 at 12:33 am
Youtube has plenty of flops, I’ve been laughing my a$$ off linking from that B-diddy one, then he had the nerve to use Memo to get up after the flop… priceless! look at Amares feet tho, they come right out from under him with no delay, the mans a pro!!!

    • Sarah Posted: Dec.12 at 1:36 am
He’s done this a couple times now. What a b*tch.

    • nick Posted: Dec.12 at 1:43 am
The Basketball Gods, in all their wisdom, see floppers from on high. In their omniscience, they witnessed a career of flops from Derek Fisher. They saw that he had played for the jazz. And they smote him, for flopping begets flopping. He was given a technical foul, and lo, it was good.

    • Darksaber Posted: Dec.12 at 2:40 am
Basketball Gods, hmm? Bill Simmons, is that you posing as “nick” on slamonline? :-)

    • underdog Posted: Dec.12 at 5:11 am
D-12 is no superman anymore. Got-Fish is.

    • [...] This Amare Stoudemire flop puts anything Anderson Varejao’s ever done to complete shame.  What ever happened to the “fines” that were supposed to be imposed? [SLAMOnline] [...]

    • jaywhy Posted: Dec.12 at 1:06 pm
amare must have slipped on a wet floor or something

    • Phoenix Son Posted: Dec.12 at 3:59 pm
After years of “flopping agony”, the league rule should allow flopping if it’s against Derek Fisher or Manu Ginobili.
