Brandon Roy Out 7 to 10 Days

Roy’s sprained right hamstring will cause him to miss at least three more games, including today’s match up against the Lakers.

    That sucks. And the fact that Rafer Alston has more all-star votes than Brandon Roy and Chauncey Billups is the perfect example of why nba.com needs a pre-vote basic basketball knowledge quiz. Oh really? You think that Shawn Marion is playing better than Danny Granger this year? FAIL.

    Yeah we should find a way to change the voting to keep guys who don’t know a thing about the NBA from voting and also to keep the chinese from putting Yao, Yi, and T-Mac in the All Star game when guys like KG,Chris Bosh, and CP3 deserve it more

    Coincidentally, Roy had to miss a game against the Lakers at Staples last season. IIRC, the Blazers looked pretty good despite his absence, but ultimately lost the game. (Then they went on to have an ugly game against the Clippers, but still managed to win, and Von Wafer’s 11 points were definitely appreciated). Here’s hoping they look better than they did against the Lakers in the season opener. And no matter how this game turns out, you’re going to want to keep an eye on the next Blazers-Lakers game… the Blazers have done a pretty good job of defending home court when the Lakers are in town, and I’m sure LA will want to change that.

    what NBA should do: pick the first seven guys, fan voting should pick next five (fan voting should only be a two week thing as well).
