Candace Parker Expecting Her First Child

Candace Parker and Shelden Williams will be expecting a child this spring. “Shelden and I are very excited to be expanding our family,” said Parker. “We feel blessed and look forward to becoming parents.”

    I’ll agree with Coco. It’s not because of pregnancy the WNBA is less popular, its because sports fans enjoy things in the NBA game that don’t happen in the WNBA. If more women in general were intersted in the fudamentally sound game, and became sports houds the way men are (or if more men liked to see well executed offensive sets over a bunch of 7 footers ripping the rim down), the WNBA wouldn’t be looked upon so poorly. After all, NBA players get injuries unheard of in the WNBA (Monta Ellis), and no one would argue that the NBA is going to lose fans do to male star players acting like invincible frat boys.
