Darius Miles: Waived

His time in a Memphis uniform last all of two games: “The Grizzlies waived Darius Miles soon after their 94-87 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 6-9 forward was told of the team’s decision before the players and coaches boarded a plane for New Jersey where the Griz play tonight.”

  • bombsquad Posted: Jan.7 at 10:26 am
that sucks bad..he’ll be on someones playoff roster. Or he can just quit the NBA and move to Australia.. oh yeah!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Jan.7 at 10:39 am
Does it say anywhere that he has to play all 10 games with the same team? It would be cool if five different Western Conference teams played him for two games each just to stick it to the Blazers. It would be even cooler if the remaining eight games were all AGAINST the Blazers.

  • Hussman25 Posted: Jan.7 at 10:55 am
Where has the time gone Mr. Miles. I can’t see why he cannot stick with a team; he is still young and still can be a valuable piece to a “team” he is not the first second or third option for a ball club, but still posesses the talent to be a solid role player. DAMN! Wish you well D.

    give the man his cash

  • Funkdoc Posted: Jan.7 at 1:03 pm
i don’t think miles is a better pick than quinton ross. Ross played a lot for the Clips, if you look at his stats it’s a surprise he gets 20 minutes. However, Ross is one of the most underrated defenders in the league. he covered nash and kobe as a clip… But, euhm, i guess ross’ defense isn’t going to make the grizz a contender.

blazers about to make a move when roy returns…

  • underdog Posted: Jan.7 at 1:21 pm
Damn. First Livingston, now Miles. It’s hard out here for a player, coming back from a serious foot injury.

  • The0ne Posted: Jan.7 at 1:26 pm
I watched the game tuesday and Miles played good 4 his short time! I dont know why they cut him!

  • Mo Charlo Posted: Jan.7 at 1:28 pm
    Where are the Knicks?!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Jan.7 at 1:48 pm
Paul Allen probably gave the Griz $2 million in cash to cut him.

  • Josh D Posted: Jan.7 at 1:57 pm
He was playing for the Grizzlies? Thats news to me

  • [...] a move that has luxury tax implications on the Portland Trailblazers, Darius Miles was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies [...]

  • I am the walrus Posted: Jan.7 at 6:09 pm
    No big loss here…

  • Bostwik Posted: Jan.7 at 8:15 pm
Darius Miles could get waived without even being on a team.

  • Dacre Posted: Jan.7 at 10:36 pm
@ Russ… How much would Paul Allen be willing to pay out as D Miles, games played gets closer to the magic number…?
The greatest of ironies here as PAllen could pay double out after the Miles contract is honoured?!

  • Hugo Posted: Jan.7 at 11:42 pm
