Jermaine O’Neal on the Possibility of Getting Traded

J.O. doesn’t sound too stressed out about it: “If I was to get traded, God bless ‘em,” O’Neal said after practice yesterday. “I have a really good agent in Arn Tellum and he keeps me aware of what teams are trying to acquire me. And [Raptors president] Bryan Colangelo? He’s my man. We have a very friendly relationship and I respect his view.”

I saw good things coming when we got JO. The only reason we should trade him is cause of his injuries. But if you can endure it, his defense is still great

Maybe they should use him how phoenix uses shaq, only he can come off the bench cuz bargs realized he can play

Bargs has been balling lately. JO to Dallas for J-Ho might work.

    JO: King of Nonchalance

B- That may be the most logical trade I have heard for 2 teams all season.

    nbk is talking logical?

Nah, trading JO would be a mistake. Bargnani had some nice game lately (still without defensive effort though) but imho the Raptors should give JO more time to adapt.

JO is pure class. And you’re crazy if you don’t think Bargs has been playing defence over the last couple of weeks.

  • a_whiteman

Ya, cuz their record over the last 2 weeks has been so0o impressive

They have played pretty good over the last two weeks considering they dont have calderon or JO. I still dont think they should trade JO. Try to move parker and kapono for a decent slashing type wing man

who would take on oneal’s contract tho

^ Exactly Steve. Not to mention the injury risk.

I dont think JO is going anywhere..and apparently he said he would come off the bench..so if Bargnani can keep playing the way he has been and JO gets healthy and comes off the bench this could work..we have had a hard time with injuries this season, and this is why it seems like we have had a hard time. Were the expectations a lot higher for this season? yes – but I think there is still time ( half the season) for the Raps to get back on track. And lets be realistic, I wasnt expecting eastern conference finals this year – so get into the playoffs and hopefully second round and go from there. The Raps have had a hard schedule, and injuries and we are only what, 3 games out of 8th? theres still time.

I think Nathan Jawai will be a big force coming off the bench as well, He will be a big presents to grad some boards. The rumour is that the Heat and Bulls are interested in JO’s contract because that will also help clear out some space for the 2010 free agency

    Miami Heat.

  • Zee

Nathan Jawai has serious heart problems so i dont think we’ll see him suit up this season

T-Mac for J.O straight up. T-Mac is back in the T-dot… and they can sit on the bench together while they’re injured.

I don’t think JO wants to relive the Ron Ron experience any time soon. There’s only one way it could end, and it ain’t good.

ok ppl, get ready for some trade possibilities: Jo for shawn marion and mayb sum other guys.
    JO 4 J.Smith, C. Wilcox, D. Mason, and R. Swiftor M. Sene.
    Jo for hughes and nocioni
JO, maybe voskuhl and moon, 4 a mix of sum of these guys: nocioni, hughes, gorden, gooden.
    3team trade: JO – NYK, S. Marion – T-Dot, Starbury – Heat

  • http://twentythreenine.blogspot.com Russ Bengtson

They should trade him to Indiana for Dale Davis.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Hahahaha that’d be sweet if New York got Jermaine O’Neal.
    Wait, would it?

  • Teddy-the-Bear

@ Cell Block 4: Who exactly could the Raptors get for Jason Kapono? Earl Watson?

  • MeloMan13

the josh Howard trade and the T-mac trade are the ones that would actually help the Raps.
But if they lose JO it makes the team even softer than before. did anyone see Danny Granger push CB4?? He didnt react and neither did any of his team mates. These are the times when i miss Charles Oakley and Antonio Davis

i ilke this 3 team trade the best
    jo ny
    matrix toronto
    starbury miami

  • john

heat can take another big man

  • Flash

we wont take JO, his salary and his injuries here in miami! that would be pretty stupid! let him go to the phoenix doctors first and then we’ll think about it..!

  • Costa

You have to be a fool to really think that 3 team trade will go down… oneal wouldnt fit in the knicks system and the Heat obviously have been looking for a big man… and oneal would be the answer or they would like him to be the answer if he can stay healthy…

  • niQ

JO is going to Miami for Marion. I say do it!

  • Gumdrop

It’ll be done by the end of the month.
