Jerome James: Dunzo
Jerome’s season (and, perhaps, career) has come to a predictably inglorious end: “The Knicks revealed today that Jerome James suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon and is out for the season. Considering the severity of the injury — not to mention the complete disinterest in getting him back — we’ve likely seen the last of Big ‘Rome. The injury happened during Sunday’s practice. And just in time to save the Knicks some luxury tax money. James’ $6.2 million salary can be picked up by insurance after he misses 41 games. Today’s game against the Chicago Bulls is Game 40, which leaves 42 games to go.”
