KG, the Unapologetic All-Star

Gary Payton’s opinion matters little to Kevin Garnett: “I didn’t get myself to be in the All-Star Game or be a starter. That’s [Payton's] opinion. In a situation where fans get to vote you in, and it’s out of your control, then it’s just that. I’m not going to apologize for something people want to see or for [them] showing appreciation for myself. But I’m grateful. That’s [Payton's] opinion and, some things we know, everybody has one, and that’s what it is.”

    I love comedy. I just hate those long periods of silence and sloppy narration through highlights, and Payton’s super ghetto/southern speech. “Oh you know that Rose be shuck’n and jivin with dat ball naw!” Actually…. I guess that is comedy in a Dave Chappelle, “The N***ar family/ When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong” sort of way.

    I thought they sucked bad ass too, but, after some time, and being in inside the nba with ernie and “Jet”, I accually start to like those guys. They are just knew on their jobs.

    I like Gary and CWebb, but they can be a bit much at times. Still, KG is clearly a deserving All Star. I think the issue isn’t with winning teams being rewarded with ASG appearances. Its that Bowen comes 3rd in Western F voting and Yi nealy makes it in as a starter. I like the idea of having fans that actually go to games vote at each game or at other NBA events and everyone else gets 1 vote online, plus the coaches, GMs and layers should get a weighted vote. With all this hubub, you’d think the ASG actually mattered.

    I hate when journalists ask questions and then frame it as statements made out of the blue. KG probably just answered a ‘what do you think about gary saying you’re not an all-star this year?’.

    its good and all tht they let us vote for the allstars/dunk contest pplz and watnot but soon itl get to the point were they cant coz china is the biggest population in the world soo soon players like yi and sun yue(yaos a shoe-in) will be in not coz how good they are but how much there liked,same with dunk contest its good tht we can vote for the winner but i feel itl be more of a populatirty contest

    CWebb is a better at this than he was backing up AI in Philly.
