Larry Hughes Could Soon Be the Nets’ Problem

Hughes, who hasn’t seen the court in a while, is ready for the trade should it go down: ‘‘That’s fine,’’ Hughes said before the Bulls hosted the Atlanta Hawks at United Center. ‘‘I’m ready to play, whether it’s here or somewhere else. I’ve played for some good coaches and on some good teams, and I’ve always been out there, so this is new for me. I’m just trying to stay positive. I’m still helping the guys out as far as telling them what I see and what I can help them with.”

the deal doesn’t make sense for both teams, but if it happens, the Nets have a history with “fallen angels” as Rod Thorn likes to call it. I doubt it will happen, again, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
If it does happen, it will turn out great, or it will be horrible, messing up chemistry the Nets have developed so far. With Hughes as a Net, this means less shots for Carter, Harris, and most important of all: Lopez.

nooooooooooooooo. Why cant he become the Bobcats problem? And why are you calling him a problem. The man deserves to play. I watched him as a Wizard and as a Cav, he is a quality player that deserves to start/get heavy (i am talkin Oprah fresh off a diet heavy) minutes.

BETCATS: Obviously you haven’t watched him as a Bull. I’d be down with them trading him for a turkey sandwich.

Larry Hughes one of the only backcourt players in the NBA that when his team runs a play that get him a wide open look, i expect him to brick it. Everytime.

well the Bulls kill careers. Look at Ben Wallace.

He was once drafted ahead of Paul Pierce! That GM–was it Billy King?– should never run a team again!

Are they trading him for Bobby Simmons or Bobby Simmons milk carton?

Really BETCATS listen to Russ. Hughes still thinks he is the best player on whatever team he play’s for. If he goes to the Bobcats then he will probably feel he is better than DJ, Felton, etc… I use to be a Hughes apoligist but now I can’t even defend him now.

I like how he said he played for good coaches his whole career so this situation is new. Subtle digs are the best.

There’s a reason an entire blog about his bad shots existed…

It doesn’t matter, dude is horrible for anybody he plays for. his shot selection makes me look like an NBA baller. he does the same move, lame crossover, contested jumper. Simmons will definetly bring a little spark to that team. play wit it.

Bryan: Well, thats one thing he got right—Vinny Del Blagojevich DOES suck.

i remember when he played for the wizards. he was playin like an all star, and leadin the L in steals per game. now he probably leads the L in bench splinters per game.

Did no one else fail to highlight J. Noah getting 18 rebounds…?? 18… They must of counted the times he caught the ball as it swished through the net on made shots PLUS his 6 or so rebounds….
