Mike D’Antoni Wants to See David Lee in Phoenix…

… During the All-Star Game: “He should get some consideration definitely,” D’Antoni said when asked whether Lee should be in the All-Star discussion. “I think he’s played as well as anybody in the league, without a doubt.”

“Which is why we’d like to get rid of him as soon as possible to clear cap space.”

What does it mean when people say “as good as any player in the league?” Ok. No one asked about if he belongs in the NBA, the question is if he was an all-star. And in that case he would have to be better than at least the 7th best player in his position in the league. And he’s clearly not. End of discussion.

Bet also said Boris Diaw haha why not adam morrison too. Hell lets just make the eastern conference all stars the bobcats bet

  • ciolkstar Posted: Jan.15 at 1:34 pm
Just keep killing it for my fantasy team DLee, and pray D’Antoni doesn’t ship you to Portland or some other team where you’d look pretty ordinary.

While we’re on the all-star place . . . can you people PLEASE get Chauncey Billups some votes??

  • Bro. D. Posted: Jan.15 at 3:55 pm
The bobcat that might warrant consideration is Emeka thanks to his double doubles.

  • collin Posted: Jan.15 at 3:58 pm
he is an ok player, not a great player. only players on good teams make the all star team. there is only one guy who plays on a bad team and is just too good to leave out of the ASG. DANNY GRANGER. not a huge fan of him, but he is ballin this year, and even though the pacers are bad this year, they have beat a lot of good teams like the celts, lakers, suns. he deserves it. i know this was supposed to be about david lee, but im tired of talkin about the knicks.

  • Todd Spehr Posted: Jan.15 at 5:30 pm
NBK: Diaw is at 15-7-5 since becoming a Bobcat. Not saying he’s an All-Star, but there isn’t another player in the conference with those numbers. (LBJ falls short on RBS).

  • Gambit Posted: Jan.15 at 6:29 pm
    What about Al Jefferson?

  • chintao Posted: Jan.15 at 9:34 pm
It’s almost as if D’Antoni is racing to destroy any credibility he might have left.

  • Hursty Posted: Jan.15 at 9:47 pm
Al is not in the West moron.

  • aotearaw Posted: Jan.15 at 11:05 pm
    Felton?! Come on bro, lol…

  • Jukai Posted: Jan.16 at 7:00 am
Todd: Diaw would also be fourth in turnovers per game since becoming a Bobcat. In the east, no one but Wade even comes close to that. I’d also point out 48% shooting at the four spot and almost nominal blocks/steals, but you know, 15-7-5 sure sounds good when you don’t factor in anything else.

  • Jukai Posted: Jan.16 at 7:01 am
Also, Lebron James averages more rebounds. So, you know, he pretty much is better in every way.

  • the baconator Posted: Jan.16 at 8:19 am
Danny Granger deserves a spot too, but I doubt he’ll get one. Point is, sadly ASG votes come not just from stats and accomplishments, but also your name. Granger, Jefferson, Lee- none of these guys will get a chance because they’re quite simply not a household name. I do agree though that Lee deserves to be an all-star. Not only cuz of his stats, but also cuz of the energy and hustle that he brings to every game. Dude doesn’t know how to take a game off

  • rainman10 Posted: Jan.16 at 1:04 pm
Energy and Hustle? Lindsey Hunter would’ve been a perrenial all-star if that were the case.

  • Holtzman Posted: Jan.23 at 9:46 am
Do you people actually WATCH basketball? David Lee is 2nd in the entire NBA in double-doubles behind 3 million vote getting Howard, is 2nd in scoring and rebounding among NBA East Centers (3rd overall in rebounding among ALL NBA East players). If being among the best in the league at playing basketball isn’t enough to get you in the All-Star game, they shouldn’t have the game.

  • ecupa Posted: Jan.24 at 11:51 am
man,i hate when you people compare David Lee to Boris Diaw and such. Diaw is just an ordinary player having a good stretch in charlotte. Lee on the other hand has the talent and the hustle to be an all star. I dont think Lee deserves a spot in the all-star this year, only for the fact that the knicks are doing bad, but next year, you will see that Lee will be a guaranteed all-star, and Boris Diaw a bench player. Its just a matter of time.

  • tom Posted: Jan.26 at 3:22 pm
Your all stupid. David Lee is top 5 in rebounds averaging almost 16 points on almost 60% shooting and he is tied with dwight howard for double doubles. His numbers are basically the same as KG. He does belong in the allstar game. None of you know anything about basketball.

i love reading the posts on these kinds of sites and on the yankees site and reading the rediculous crap people who have no idea how to spell or play sports write.
