Monta Ellis Practices, Declares His Love for the Warriors

    by Marcel Mutoni

After everything that happened during Scooter-Gate, some of the more connected folks in the Bay Area hoops world (OK, fine, mostly this dude) were convinced that Monta Ellis wasn’t long for the Warriors.

According to Monta, however, he doesn’t see himself playing anywhere else for a while. From the San Fran Chronicle:

“Listen, whatever it is about me leaving, wanting to go, I don’t want to play for Nellie — that never came from my mouth. I don’t know where they got that from, but I’m here for the next six years. I’m a Warrior. I’m going to always be a Warrior. Whoever put that out there did it because they wanted a story.

I’m making it known right now that I’m a Warrior. I love playing for Nellie. And I never said that, not one time. So you don’t have to worry about that…I’m here for the next six years. Only thing I’m worried about is getting back on the basketball court.”

In continuing with the good vibes, Ellis participated in a full practice for the first time since his injury yesterday, and says he felt pretty good out there.

Game action doesn’t appear too far off into the future, add that to Ellis’s verbal commitment to the franchise, and Warrior fans have reason to finally smile this season.

Lupe should worry about winning games first rather than pulling something like this

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 10:06 am
Um, theres no writing on the page except for the headline….

    • overtime Posted: Jan.14 at 10:10 am

      BLANK

    • TADOne Posted: Jan.14 at 10:29 am
Why is there a pic of a GQ cover model?

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 10:29 am
      Fresh fails at typing coherently.

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 10:32 am
Can we just make stuff up? If TAD says there is a CQ cover model, then I say…. that there is a link to D1ME!!! HERESY!
unless Monta is actually posing for CQ…in that suit.
      Either way its still blank.

    • TADOne Posted: Jan.14 at 10:35 am
Ya’ll are confusing me. What is blank?

    • Hisham Posted: Jan.14 at 10:37 am
Looks like they’re setting up a game of Pong right under the headline. Only thing that’s missing is the ball (which is acturally a square, of course)

    • a_whiteman Posted: Jan.14 at 10:37 am
I can’t wait to see crawford and mr moped in the same backcourt

    • Hisham Posted: Jan.14 at 10:38 am
TAD, everything after the headline is blank.

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 10:41 am
Hisham makes a very good point.
This is almost a comment section about nothing.
Sorry to irritate the slam web workers (Ryne and Co.) but I quite like the Pong approach going on right now.

    • TADOne Posted: Jan.14 at 10:42 am
Not on my computer. I guess Slam hates anyone outside the US.

    • TADOne Posted: Jan.14 at 10:42 am
And yes, i’m assuming ya’ll are outside the States.

    • Hisham Posted: Jan.14 at 10:46 am
      Just barely TAD

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 10:51 am
Is Australia not owned by the USA though? Seems that way for almost a decade.

    • Hisham Posted: Jan.14 at 10:58 am

“I’m going to always be a Warrior.” - Not so fast Monta, let’s see first, how this injury affected your quickness and athleticism.

    • Hursty Posted: Jan.14 at 11:12 am
can someone who can see the whole page just post the damn piece in the comments? Thanks, Hursty.

    • Yardbird Posted: Jan.15 at 11:32 pm
Man, he needed to give this much love to the Dubs after his silence on his injury and subsequent suspension. Warriors + Monta = Out of the Gutter
