Not So Worthy of Your Attention: Celtics vs Pistons

It just ain’t what it used to be: “I think you knew what you were going to get from the Pistons night in and night out (last year),” Paul Pierce told reporters in Boston. “They had played together five, six, seven years. They didn’t make a lot of mistakes. They were a well-oiled machine and they weren’t a team that beat themselves … Right now, with the transition they’re going through with Allen Iverson, trying to figure out their identity, you never know which team is going to show up,” Pierce said. “You have a team that plays well in spurts and then has a little inconsistency.”

That should be good motivation for the Motown boys.

Oh yeah….Marcel…..not sure if that was meant to be a play on words of what PP said….but if it wasn’t…..ah, forget it…..I’m sure you’re right. They both are meaningless to the LBA.

I don’t care what Paul Pierce says, I’m still watching the game.

Me too. Some test weekend coming up for the Pistons. Oh, and PP: f u and your big mouth, even if it’s saying the truth.

Boston on Friday and the Cavs on Sunday. The Pistons need to bring their hardhats this weekend.

Apologies to the Wizards vs 76ers but Celtics vs Pistons is still the game of the night.

  • Dwyane

Pierce’s confidence is still preety high from the Finals I hope the Piston’s destroy them tonight

Shoot, I’m totally intrigued by this game. If Celtics are up 20 at the half I won’t be, but I think the Pistons will give them a game.

if pistons can’t get up for this game, they may as well just call this a season. right TAD?

if the Pistons win tonight I’m going to say positive things about Kobe for a week

    Right, Albie.

Pistons win if Ray, PP, KG, Rondo & House decide to sit out this one.

I think the pistons should give Iverson the keys to the building and support him. If he had that kind of support in Philly no telling how many times they would have gotten to the championship

i still remember the game when pistons came into L.A. and beat the then loss-less Lakers convincingly. Pistons have the pieces to go all the way (thus all the hype right after the trade). i hope they can figure it out and give us a memorable playoff run, at the very least. (same sentiment for rockets)

    I’m excited.

  • http://www.ravingblacklunatic.blogspot.com Allenp

It’s not a question of whether they can get excited, it’s whether they can execute. They were excited for the first two games and still couldn’t execute.

What was Perkins thinking with that Boneheaded flagrant foul…cooler heads prevailed by both teams though. Anger mgmt for Perk, the kid never smiles. It’s my birthday so it’s time for cake after this win. Did you see KG SPRINT back to the huddle after a timeout? Intensity…PLEASE take not that at the very end of the game the Celts could have dunked on a fast break but Ray dribbled the clock out..Sorry for those who would have loved for them to have scored again so you could have bashed them for it. Rondo 12 assists….

    Z is back, b*tches

Perkins is an idiot. He’s lucky they were in a crowd, because Maxiell is known to have developed a taste for babies.
