Who Wants Michael Redd?

Apparently everyone. But that doesn’t mean they’ll get him: “An entrenched Bucks source does not believe Michael Redd will be traded this season. ‘Everyone is interested [Portland, San Antonio and Dallas, etc.], but their offers are pure [garbage],’ said Deep Dish.”

  • Eboy Posted: Jan.23 at 10:52 am
If he went to San Antonio……well, that would be just fantastic.

Portland? Why would they want Redd? Who will play at what position then? Roy?

  • Gerard Himself Posted: Jan.23 at 11:22 am
I have a feeling this will be a Redd-hot discussion.

  • MeloMan13 Posted: Jan.23 at 12:08 pm
    Toronto needs him

  • Zee! Posted: Jan.23 at 12:38 pm
Lakers, please ship out Lamar and Sasha….

  • Phil B Posted: Jan.23 at 12:41 pm

    [...] Redd’s a Hot Commodity [...]

  • Boing Dynasty Posted: Jan.23 at 1:33 pm
Cause the first thing toronto needs is a guy who can basically only shoot jump shots…

  • nbk Posted: Jan.23 at 1:41 pm
Boing I am assuming tht was sarcasm, your completely right if I am

if the spurs get him, they will three peat

  • RayRayJr Posted: Jan.23 at 1:43 pm
San Antonio wont give away what the Bucks would want from them. Toronto sounds like the best bet…however I wonder how lamar and sasha trade would work out

  • BostonBaller Posted: Jan.23 at 2:32 pm
Since Pierce wants another shooter what do you think the Celtics would give up to get him. I don’t think we would shake too much of our bench to get a shooter. People talk about our bench but they are pretty good. Powe, Scal, Davis, etc etc. The only one I’d even consider giving up would be O’Bryant and that wouldn’t be nearly enough for The Bucks. lol. I want to see how B Walker, Pruitt and Giddens’ progress goes. All 3 are good athletes with “Potential”

I’m sure the warriors could definitely pull the trigger. With Ellis coming back, they can’t have stephen jackson or crawford trying to run the point, even though I like them. AND they’re not exactly crazy about maggette. Also I’d be willing to bet that nash would love to have him

  • Moose Posted: Jan.23 at 5:36 pm
BostonBaller, as a fellow Celtics fan, I’d be more than willing to give Tony Allen. Put TA with Big Baby for Redd, and I’d be all over that. The question is, where to put Redd. He deserves a helluva lot more than just a bench player, even if he could get some pretty good minutes. Definitely a conundrum. I don’t think that Redd would solve the shooter solution; he wouldn’t fit the role. I’m thinking (although this won’t happen) that a Mike Miller type of player would do us good. Is a borderline starter on a star-studded team like the Celtics, but he’d be fine taking a spot on the bench with some minutes. He can shoot the three ball just as good as the next guy.

None of the teams mentioned in this discussion would improve significantly by trading for Redd, assuming Milwaukee doesn’t just give him away. Boston’s not gonna start him ahead of Allen or Pierce, Blazers won’t start him ahead of Roy, the last thing the Warriors need is another 2-guard, the defenseless, jumpshooting Raptors won’t benefit by acquiring a defenseless, jumpshooting player, and San Antonio doesn’t have any assets to trade for him beyond their Big 3. The Cavs or Jazz could get him though, with their expiring contracts.

are you guys serious? tony allen and big baby for michael redd? really? really?! my god

  • pigott17 Posted: Jan.24 at 1:10 am
the only way the celtics would be gettn redd would be if they traded brian “shutdownD” scalabrine for him but thts like asking lakers to trade kobe,or miami to trade dwade…why would u trade away the heart and soul of the team

  • Flash Posted: Jan.24 at 4:45 am
put him in orlando in exchange for redick pietrus and lee

  • MalevolentKing7242 Posted: Jan.24 at 11:48 am
Cosign Flash, That would be quite intresting… As a Cavs fan I say we should get him by trading wally, wright, and snow

  • deadmoose8 redd #1 fan Posted: Jan.24 at 12:13 pm
the bucks will not trade redd because he is the soul of the team

  • deadmoose8 redd #1 fan Posted: Jan.24 at 12:14 pm
redd could possibly go to cavs because lbj wanted him last year so you never nooo, but i hope he stays with the bucksssssssssss

  • Squad Posted: Jan.24 at 3:30 pm
i mean i GUESS we’ll take him in DC. anyone want etan thomas?

  • connor m Posted: Jan.24 at 3:48 pm
if you think about all the teams in the league the only teams that need a shooter have a 2-guard and the only teams that need a 2-guard have good shooters so the only place for him right now will be with milwaukee b/c he won’t be traded to a team already out of contention for the playoffs

  • $tev3 Posted: Jan.24 at 5:35 pm
how about washington? or how about(i hate myself for saying it but) redd for vince carter

  • Hursty Posted: Jan.24 at 10:08 pm
While we’re at it, let’s just suggest a Maxiell for Redd trade. It’s just as likely to happen.

  • Quail Posted: Jan.25 at 11:29 pm
the nuggets could use an actual shooting guard. trade J.R. Smith since George Karl doesnt like him anywayz, and a first round draft pick. I think that would be a pretty fair trade. or I’m sure the Jazz could work somethin out for him. I would like to see either of those go down.

  • Mike Posted: Aug.6 at 11:18 pm
Bring him to Portland boy can shoot he would be a great addition to Brandon Roy

  • corey Posted: Oct.10 at 5:18 pm
Michael redd is underrated! He can do more than just shoot jumpers.his handle has gotten a lot better and he can get to the cup! His only problem has been durability! And subpar teammates.

  • BOSS Posted: May.12 at 11:00 am
Michael Redd for Michael Finley, Marquis Daniels and future 1st- round pick. (Celtics)
