Actually, LeBron Didn’t Get A Triple Double

by Lang Whitaker

Just got this press release from the NBA. And no, I am not making this up…

NBA CORRECTS STATISTICAL ERROR FROM CAVALIERS-KNICKS GAME

NEW  YORK,  Feb.  6,  2009  – The NBA announced today that a statistical error  was  made  during the Cleveland Cavaliers-New York Knicks game on Feb. 4 at Madison Square Garden.

Cavaliers  forward  LeBron James was incorrectly credited with a rebound with  39.3 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter that should have been awarded  to Cleveland forward Ben Wallace.  Due to the correction, James finished  Wednesday’s  game  with nine rebounds – one rebound short of a triple-double – while Wallace ended with two rebounds.

All  NBA  games  are  reviewed  to  ensure  the  accuracy  of  the  game statistics.

total BS… How did they decide that when they both had the ball. Lebron got it at it’s highest peak.

    My week has consisted of:
    1) Beach day in 80 degree weather in my hometown of Santa Barbara.
    2) My favorite player dropping 61 points the game after it appeared our season was essentially over.
    3) My team beating the Celtics on the road on the second night of a road back to back, all while missing our starting center.
    4) Making over $5000 in commissions alone.
    5) Having phenomenal s-x with the love of my life, who is 8 years my junior and has a natural set of D’s.
And yet, this is the highlight.
    Outf-ckingstanding.

It’s still a great game, although in light of all the comparisons w/ Kobe, it should be noted that 50-point near-triple-doubles are nothing Kobe hasn’t done.

bron was trying way too hard to top kobe’s 61.
Kobe’s 61 was a thing of beauty and looked easy.
Bron’s “triple double” was forced. clearly evident that bron was not playing his game and tracking his stats. silly how he tried getting that last rebound.

be patient lebron. the L will be Kobe’s for maybe 2 more years tops and then you will be the man for years to come.

Can’t he just buy a triple double? He has like oprah money, well almost

Big Ben likely had league offices ringing off the hook for those two days. Justice served.

Todd: Lebron was informed of his rebound total after his 9th rebound. So yes, he went after that last rebound because he knew that would make ten.

kobe was more intresting but still that sucks!!! That rebound is so the kings rebound. Why sternbot? WHY!?!??!!?

I knew it! I was telling everybody. I’m glad I wrote that letter to the commish and got things straightened out. The commish is a cool dude for taking the time to read my letter then review the tape.

On a side note isn’t it kinda lame for ice cube to keep track of his assists and rebounds when playing at his local court? I bet he only had like 11 points and was trying to make up for it by saying he had a triple double. No one else would even notice .

i agree with bill…no need to force it.. Kobe is the best in the world right now give a couple years or another championship and he’s done. the things he doing right now to go out on top is incredibly
