Big Shot Rob to Cleveland?

The local media says it could happen: “Horry, 38, a free agent, hasn’t played a game this season. He made his name coming off the bench for the Spurs the last five seasons. A 6-10 forward and center, Horry has 16 seasons in the NBA. His career average is 7 points per game. In one respect, the Cavs’ interest in Horry makes sense. San Antonio is the former home of Cavs general manager Danny Ferry and coach Mike Brown. If he’s kept himself in shape, Horry could be a valuable insurance policy in the playoffs.”

    Huh.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com/ TADOne

    I don’t like Robert Horry.

  • Sean

I’m not a fan of him when teams I like are playing against him. You gotta respect his will to win though.

  • MalevolentKing7242

No not in clevland. He should go back to L.A. just for old times sakes

  • Squirrel7

Kept himself in shape? He didn’t look like he was trying to do that in his last few seasons, not sure why he’d have started now……

  • riggs

    for that paycheck

  • RoytheBoy

I’m a huge Horry fan, probably cause he came along just as I started getting hardcore interested in the league. I don’t see this working though, Cavs have too good of chemistry and this guy hasn’t played in forever.
On the other hand, all he has to do is stand in the corner and wait for LeBron or Mo to dish it out for a 3…..

  • Kevin

I just want too see him put Rondo into a scorer’s table and i’ll be happy with the signing if it happens

Uh… I don’t think Big Shot Rob is the kind of player who disrupts team chemistry… if anything he tends to make it better.

can you still do it rob?

yeah, he could be that center who plays 4 minutes and knocks down a last minute 3 because other centers dont guard out there, like anyone could prolong a career doing that, hah, oh wait….

Get it if you can. Thats my take on it.

    Best roll player in history.

  • master2

I’m a lifelong Spurs fan and will tell you right now that Robert Horry, while undenuiably clutch, is not a contributing NBA player at this point.

  • underdog

Sounds like a good move. Everybody knows Horry is a ring magnet. So if LBJ wants to win anything, he needs Rob.

this would be cool, he is still one of my favorite players.

  • http://trulyhoops.blogspot.com Collin

i really wish he would come to Boston, that way he could get his 8th championship.

horry has had a great career, and now its over. he did more than just make shots, he was a great defender, possibly the most “heads up” player in the league for a long time.

He should hold off and sign with whatever team has three wins in the Finals first. F*ck a deadline, Horry gets an exception.

Seriously doubt whether Horry could provide much of anything now. His last season was a tough watch. He could barely move, let alone get any meaningful time in clutch situations.

  • RUTAX

i think the cavs shoould get him NOW!!!hes the best player for the CAVS!!!!!!!!

THEN WATCH HIM CRUMBLE AGAINST THE CELTICS!!!HAHAHA

  • http://fdklf.com Jukai

One last chance to hip check a hall of fame point guard over a table!

  • jay

oh look…Jukai still have sand in his vagina.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

His dunk on Rip a few years back is all i really remember him for in recent times.

  • bba

NOOOO! DON’T PLAY WITH THE CAVS!!! GO BACK TO LA! Pau, Odom, Fish, Kobe and you! Btw, Lebron is sooooo overrated.

  • #6marjons

i can see it now, lakers cleveland final and just for old times sake he kicks lakers up the arse and nails a last second three to win it all

  • MalevolentKing7242

Boston just signed moore. Horry is not going thare. I dout clevland would sign him they alredy have Hickson and Varjao

  • http://thesportsdiaryonline.blogspot.com Roy
