Paul Pierce Wants Something to Be Done Today

by Marcel Mutoni

The Truth hasn’t been making too many demands of late. After all, it’s kind of hard to ask for much more than two Hall of Fame teammates falling into your lap, and helping you win that elusive title.

Today, however, Paul would like for his GM to work the phones and e-mails a little harder. From the Boston Herald:

Exhaustion is what Paul Pierce would like to avoid, and why he hopes that the Celts can acquire a player or two either today or in the near future as veterans may be bought out and become free agents.

“I’d like to see us do something,” said Pierce. “I think it would help us. You don’t want to burn out me and Ray (Allen) coming down the stretch to where we’re having to play heavy minutes, especially going into the playoffs.”

Danny Ainge, who insists that all’s quiet on the Boston trade front, has his work cut out for him.
