Report: Andrew Bogut Might Go Into Operation Shutdown

by Marcel Mutoni

This has been quite the week for NBA players suffering season-ending injuries. First, there was the Bynum fiasco, followed by Nelson’s setback, and now, Andrew Bogut could be next. Because, you know, this Bucks season hasn’t faced enough tragedy.

Andrew Bogut underwent a bevy of tests on his aching back on Monday, and though the results have yet to become public, the feeling is that doctors won’t exactly be announcing good news to the big Australian and his employer.

From the Journal Times (who elected to post their story in a font size that is sure to make your eyes bleed):

For the last six weeks, Andrew Bogut has tried to deal with excruciating back pain, hoping it would eventually subside. But that hasn’t occurred and now Bogut’s frustrating-filled season might just be over.

There are growing whispers that Bogut can’t play anymore without experiencing intense pain and will sit out the rest of the rest of the season — or close to it. It is believed that if Bogut rests his back, he should fully recover and won’t have to undergo surgery.

Bogut, who signed a five-year extension with Milwaukee last season, is averaging 11.7 points and pulling down 10.2 boards per night. He has also missed sixteen games so far, with the possibility of missing many, many more.

Bogut’s “frustrating-filled” season? Is that some bizarre canadian grammar infiltrating Wisconson? In all seriousness, this is some saddening-filled news for bucks fans and I hope they have am injuring-empty rest of the season.

I think I’m going to drop him right now. I need a stream spot for my team anyway. I don’t want to call him a p@ssy, but he’s definitely not a tough guy.
