The Celtics’ (Temporary) Answer: Will Solomon

The Irish name didn’t keep Patrick O’Bryant in the green for very long as the Cs dealt the center to Toronto for point guard Will Solomon. Update: The Celtics dealt Solomon and cash to the Kings for a second round pick, opening two roster spots to add a free agent.

HAHAHAHAHAH I CANT BELIEVE WE WERE ABLE TO GET RID OF SOLOMON…COLANGELO EOY!!!! we do need a backup center, but I was HOPING for something more along the lines of Joe Smith…but hey, its something right, and I have wanted to Raps to get rid of Solomon all season, but didnt think there was a chance that any other team would pick him up…

  • RM

Yes, that’s pretty convenient for the Raps to rid themselves of Solomon!! O’Bryant backing up Andrea and the 5? That’s still a little shaky.

i’m getting confused here.. espn says solomon was traded to the kings for a future second round pick.

doesnt affect boston. pruitt is better than solomon and cassell was better than both. the transactions they made in the past week have sucked when looked at together.

  • Colin

And Solomon and cash went from Toronto to Sacramento anyway. Kings trade another 2nd rounder ot Boston and O’Bryant goes to the Raps.

OK, so with O’Bryant now gone, the Celtics are left with no backup with considerable size to play the middle. Big Baby and Garnett do not count, and I’m scared even more so now than before because Scals was getting minutes at center. I can’t imagine what he’d get now.

    This could signal PJs return…

  • BostonBaller

Thanks Danny! To the uneducated eye this last “deal” looks pointless BUT freeing up space for future free agents is brilliant!! I’m hoping another PJ falls into our laps just in time to gel with the team and contribute big time!! I really hope Sam comes back to us if we can not get a legit playoff savvy guard. We could use another bruising rebounder that does NOT complain to the refs….

  • Donica Solomon

First of all yall not going to keep talking about my brother, for all the haters I’m glad he left that wack team.
My brother can play ball you aholes don’t know basketball, When they did let him play for Jose Calderon he was balling. They won 3 games straight, now I want to see how many games they win. You haters should stop hating.
My brother can play better than Ukic anyday and the coach look like a scientist, he don’t look like no coach, Sam Mitchell was better anyday.

So one more thing for you haters, Stop hating and get a life besides the computer, you loosers!
