    Apathy in NJ


    The losing doesn’t seem to bother the players enough, and that’s driving at least one beat writer a little batty: “We say this with all the equanimity and detachment we can muster at a time like this, but it has to be asked: When the hell is somebody going to kick down a door? It’s not that we often advocate the destruction of property for the purpose of alleviating anger, but you expect the response to a loss such as this one to be immediate and volcanic, with the blood of 16 guys singing with the implacable fury of blowing a game they absolutely had to have. Instead you get…nothing. The coach was cool about it. The two stars were very cool about it.”

      I love Devin Harris but I thought the same thing a while back watching him smiling and laughing with an opponent immediately after losing a close, hard fought game. I know thats pretty common and a lot of guys on different teams are good friends, but his body language didn’t really show any anger, frustration, disappointment, or anything at all…

      He doesn’t really flop, he just crashes into everyone so the ref has no choice but to blow the whistle

      And their lack of emotion after games is nauseating. It’s saddening for season ticket holders such as myself. Hopefully they go to Newark instead of BK and the new fan base will rejuvinate the team bc they seem to be keen on stealing the nets

      the Nets used to be fun to watch - Drazen, Kenny A, DC, Chris Morris,….. then JKidd, Carter, Kenyon, jefferson - now whats left……
