Chris Bosh Fails to Find the Humor in Your RuPaul Jokes

by Marcel Mutoni

Speaking publicly for the first time since Shaq ethered him in front of the whole world, CB4 expressed displeasure at the personal attack from one of the League’s biggest stars.

Though certainly upset, Bosh refused to let it get personal. The Toronto Sun reports:

“I didn’t laugh or anything, it wasn’t funny,” Bosh said yesterday at the Air Canada Centre. “I was kind of upset with that. He has been around the league for awhile and I expected a lot more professionalism out of him. I thought we were cool. Whatever.”

After giving his side, Bosh wanted to let the matter drop. “I won’t get into a war of words,” Bosh said. “He’s not my friend, I don’t really know him. I don’t care about that stuff. It’s done. Let’s talk about basketball. He’s one of the great big men. Let’s leave it at that.”

Shaq: making new friends since 1993!

I’ll never stop being amazed at the fact that O’Neal is, quite literally, the only guy in the League who can get away with this stuff. Oh right, he’s a sensitive fella. Never mind.

Today, if you say something the media kills you. If you don’t say something the media kills you. If you talk to much you’re a cancer, if you talk to little, you’re moody.

    somebody is gonna kill shaq.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Whoa davidR, that video was crazy. That was when Shaq was actually good and I kind of liked him. And Charles Barkley is the man.
That was also when Steve Francis was one of the best guards in the league. Good times.

    Shaq = drama queen.

I’ve always thought Bosh looks more like Darnell from My Name Is Earl. In fact the wifey and I call him “Crab Man.”

nice bounce back game from bosh. he definately showed who’s the man. and that would be dwade. bosh can’t even lead that team to the playoffs it’s pathetic. how many times did shaq miss the playoffs in his career?

  • Pistons_Go

I don’t see why everybody is hatin on Shaq… I dont agree with him on this one though. Bosh is mad cool.

  • Blinguo

Rasual Butler is just glad Shaq didn’t do this to him. Bosh has more important things to worry about in his tumultuous locker room, rookie coach, and non playoff year anyway.

  • Funkdoc

wa’EVAAAA! (puts his right hand next to his face)

  • OneStep

Call it tough love but Shaq got it about right. Bosh has tremendous ability but lacks the aggression needed to lift him into the upper echelons. He should be dominating Raptor games and was early in the season but too often he drifts along. He needs to focus on being THE man every night for his team. Until then RuPaul is going to haunt him.

  • Harlem_World

Bosh is soft. Shaq is big, but he isn’t ready to fight. He just thrives in a bully boy environment. Take it to the bully and you’ll see him drop. We’re in a different era now, but Shaq would have NEVER taken it to guys like Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley and even Zo. I’ll put my money on Ron Artest knocking Shaq out too. He’s not tough, just big. It’s all talk and entertainment. Bosh should talk it up, it’s nothing but entertainment.

  • ka

allenp again wit da wisdom. this was the way to go. bosh is a class act overrated or not. shaq greatness n entertaining be damn is still a huge autistic retard with aspergers. sure I wouldnt say it to his face but doesn’t make it untrue.

  • jack

what about the fact that chris bosh looks like predator?

  • http://www.basketballjerseyworld.com NBA-JERSEY-KING

Shaq is a marketing machine for the league – he gets people talking when there is nothing going….

  • chintao

@ ka Posted: Mar.8 at 6:58 am ===> I’d say it to his face, then look for some serious getback in civil court.

HOW CAN ANYBODY BE MAD AT SHAQ? DIDNT THIS WHOLE THING START BECAUSE AFTER A AZZ WHOOPIN RU STARTING ATTACKING SHAQ? YOU WANNA STEP UP DONT GET MAD WHEN YOU FALL

  • Jesse

I TYPE IN CAPS BECAUSE WHAT I SAY IS IMPORTANT!!!

Anyways, Shaq has always been a childish guy. He’s had a successful career and the media (and sheep) caters to his behavior because of it. If he weren’t a champion he wouldn’t have the toleration he gets. He’d get the limelight for sure otherwise, but he’d be received differently.

This however, doesn’t change the fact he’s being juvenile. He just gets away with it.

Bosh took the remarks rather well. He spoke up on how he felt on Shaq’s performance(that Shaq wasn’t being called for the three second rule) and got insulted for it. Wrong or right, one can’t deny the horrible officiating the NBA has seen this year. Bosh is in his rights. Call it whining, call it criticism, the difference is the view point, e.g. your opinion.

One has to consider the difficult year Bosh has had in Toronto. His production is decent but the franchise is struggling. It wouldn’t be hard to believe that Bosh is unhappy with is current situation. He’s a talent that any team would love to acquire and in dealing with insults from a living legend that is unfortunately anything but a class act, he did so in stride and moved on. That gets respect in my book.

he was Fun Shaq, the big goofy guy you can’t get mad at. And we totally forgot how mean and thoughtlessly insulting he could be. To me, it’s no surprise.
